Hi I'm running for mayor of Fairfax. If you want your taxes to skyrocket, vote for me. I'm running on a socialist platform that features universal preschool. Imagine how much that is going to cost.

If 50% of our taxes go to K-12 and the proposal is for an extra two years of preschool it seems that would be a maximum increase of about 15% of 50% so maybe 7-8% increase in taxes. Factor in that education costs go up in the later years and we are probably looking at closer to 4%.

When you, supposed Mark, say skyrocket do you mean 4% increases?
