The scooters seemed to show up today. There are two companies with scooters and each one put twice as many as could conceivably be used. I don’t mind them but a culling of the herd seems reasonable. Our downtown isn’t big enough to necessitate scooters let alone this many.

Agreed that there are way too many of these. There are 3 companies and they can place up to 250 scooters each. Scooters are blocking crosswalks and sidewalks across town. I don't get where one is supposed to go with these. The law states that you cannot ride them on the sidewalk. How are you supposed to get out of downtown Fairfax on those fast-moving, busy shoulderless streets that I never see bikes attempt? I don't see who the target audience is for these things.

Two months later and you can hardly walk on a sidewalk without one of these things blocking the way. Particularly annoying in residential neighborhoods, where the sidewalks are very narrow.

The biggest concern is the profit model for these scooters allows them to be fallow junk on the sidewalk for days at a time...

JUst not worth it.

Supposedly these scooters are supposed to be for people over age 18, but on any given summer night I see little kids buzzing the parking lot at Courthouse while their parents sit drinking on the patio outside The Chubby Squirrel.

I see dead bodies and lawsuits VERY SOON, it's dangerous enough for pedestrians in this arrogant city of "I'M MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYONE!" drivers
