McDonald's Old Lee Highway closing Sept 30

The McDonald's on Old Lee Highway has a sign up that the leasing company will not renew their lease and the store is closing tomorrow, Sept 30.

Yep. Combined properties. shopping center is a disaster. So much promise with the location but the owner has neglected it for years.

True. The shopping center is stuck back in time. Feels like 1972.
What a waste of good space!! I think the city residents have been waiting way too long for a renovation over there. It's amazing to me that the city lets Combined continue to devalue the city in that way. What a shame!

That Safeway is 2 minutes from me, but I end up driving the 15 - 30 minutes to get to a decent grocery store.

Scott - Can we please get an acceptable grocery store there sometime in my lifetime?

Hope you're not referring to Scott Silverthorne the now former corrupt mayor. He was a big part of the problem. It's,only been a few weeks since he got busted in that sex for drugs scandal. Nevertheless, the new mayor better make something happen over there. What a shithole. Combined SUCKS!!!! And the Safeway SUCKS too!!!

Right? Not to mention the meth mayor was the real reason Scout on the Circle never had a chance. Combined never had a grocery store. It was our infamous mayor who wanted everyone to believe it did...

more crime happens in Courthouse Plaza then any other are of Fairfax City, just read the Daily crime report.

I hope that shopping center will e built up like the rest of old town.

The sad thing is that combined properties doesn't care about the state of the shopping center, it's tenants or the city of Fairfax at all. I avoid the shopping center due to the degenerates that are always hanging around drunk and or panhandling. Refuse to bring my kids to the shopping center. Combined is Just a bunch of corporate knuckleheads serving their own interests while the community they serve suffers. It's pathetic!
