Really? God forbid snag a fishing license 'Fish man'. $23 statewide freshwater license available at local Walmart. With a responsible appoach, it's probable that a few fishermen or women who know of some excellent local spots may have shared. I caught a nice five and a half pound largemouth within two miles of city center last week.

Fishing is not just to eat. Yea, I agree, the SuperH Mart fish market is great place for good fresh fish. Actually my favorite is Lotte Foodwirehouse at Fairfax Circle also.

But fishing can be a way to get away with the kids for awhile in on the Chesapeake Bay or river, where I would release the fish caught rather than eat the fish.

But that's different I think fishing at Ocean City MD or in Coastal Virginia spot or NC coastal areas. My favorite is Duck, NC. Buy a tempo license for the long week end, get up early at dawn, or late evening before it gets dark.

Yea, I caught a few fish that way, few summers ago, deep fried and ate with the family !

I'm going after snakehead fish at Occoquan this summer. Never caught one before but I feel lucky.

Nicholas "Nico" Landenburg has done it again. Fishing with his father, Tom, last weekend on Reston's Lake Audubon, the two reeled in an even larger bass than the one Patch featured last year.

What a whopper!

Go to the Reston Association site to find out more about fishing on Reston's lakes. https://www.reston.org/ParksRecreationEvents/Nature/NaturalResources/Watershed/FishinginReston/Default.aspx?qenc=HzT9ACzZbNs%3D&fqenc=RVTzXzd3p6LO1iV99AGFnA%3D%3D

Question: When will the Potomac River be clean enough to go for a Sunday afternoon fishing trip for a whopper Catfish or a Bass may be ?

Charlie Taylor's Fishing Report any good ?
