china sells vacuum cleaners >> 1700 cu. in. for $50. they have to be mfg (including hsipping of raw materials!), shipped to port in china, put on train, gotten off train into depos. not all local depos carry same model: so if you order off amazon - it still needs TO BE SHIPPED possibly across some states - FROM CHINA: all for $50 - while they are telling you $150 for a smaller package w/in 48 states. it just so happens there are Made in USA vacuum CHINA hasn't shut down yet: it's highly likely once china shuts them down with illegally low prices they will quadruple the price of chinese vacuum at homedepot - that is their typical goal - a 400% increase on USA's price once they kill the USA makers off
