What a bunch of idiots over at the AWLA;
From a press release
-8-12
"4300 block N. 26th St.
A man called the shelter to report he had found a copperhead snake behind his wine refrigerator in the basement. An animal control officer was dispatched and determined it was a non-poisonous young corn snake. The officer removed the snake and released it into the wild."
Note to AWLA; no snakes in the world are "poisonous." Snakes can be "venomous," but not poisonous. Poison is ingested and effects the body through the stomach, venom, on the other hand, is injected into the blood stream. Every third grader that has ever been to a nature reserve knows this. Jeez!
