It was always cult lore that a Lake Monster lived within the confines of Lake Accotink, but does this photo prove it?

The only problem I have is that its obviously a tentacle, and belongs so either some sort of squid or octopus, which makes me wonder where it goes when the lake is drained???

I don't see anything in that photo that looks like a monster. Or a tentacle.

I grew up in Ravensworth and my yard backed up to Accotink or Accostink as we used to call it and never heard anything about a lake monster. The only monster was all the trash and shit in that nasty ass water!

The only lake monster I have ever known of on the east coast is up in Lake Champlain. I didn't know about it until after I swam in the lake.

Also lore has it that a skipper, his first mate, and 5 passengers were lost at Lake Accotink after a 30-minute tour. Nobody has been able to find them.

That picture has to be from the early eighties. Have you seen what it looks like over there right now? I too grew up in Ravensworth and the park looks nothing like it did when I was a kid.

DUDE I SAW IT THE OTHER DAY! I was at the lake, if you can call that pool of garbage a lake, and there it was! it was a pretty big octopus. it probably got mutated from all the waste in accotink

They did completely drain and re-dredge Lake Accotink recently.
