This interchange is where I-95, 395 and 495 come together.

Over 430,000 vehicles pass through the Springfield Interchange every day. A two-year study stated that the interchange recorded 179 accidents. This makes it the most hazardous area on the 64-mile Capital Beltway. [1]

A horrible confusion of ramps and brakelights make this an area to avoid. During the peak summer travel months the right two lanes will back up for miles with traffic trying to take 95 south.
