This place is the real thing. If you like soul food, I think this is as good as it gets without driving to Georgia Avenue or some other place across the river.

The owners are friendly and if you look around a bit you'll see some real history, like a family tree on the wall going all of the way back to slaves.

They likely even know how to make things "Fried hard."
