Super Smash Bros 64 master hand video is a fake!

So a video was posted to YouTube (supposedly) showing an easter egg in the N64 verison of Super Smash Brothers allowing you to play as Master Hand!

This story appeared on the front page of digg.com, causing much hope and speculation. http://digg.com/videos_gaming/New_Secret_From_The_Original_N64_Version_of_Super_Smash_Bro_1999

Unfortunately this is a fake. The video was obviously shot with an emulator and the most popular N64 emulator just so happens to have a cheat built in allowing you to play as master hand.

There are cheat codes that you can battle on Metal Mario Stage, Battlefield, and Final Destination.

You can even play as one of the Polygons, Metal Mario, even Giant DK.

well an emulator is a program that transfers other stuff to your comp.. not exactly but a Nintendo64 emulator is the nintendo64 being played on your computer. go to CoolROM.com and go to emulators then download the Project64 one. after that download games , at either CoolRom.com or romhustler.net... you'll find the games in the 'Rom section' Hope that helped

1st... some ppl are new to that so get over it
2nd an emulator is a program to play specific games ( called roms) on your pc
3rd dont laugh at ppl when u dunno jack yourself.. hints: google?
btw the "=>" after the character modifier cheat (ctrl+c) ya click twice on it..
and if you got the talent called "reading" it would show a description on how to do it after selecting the cheat
now i can call u a "dumass" but thats below my lvl im already at 8-4
this better be where the princess is...

edit by the ADMIN: How the hell are people still perpetuating this lie? It doesn't work, it has never worked, anyone claiming to have made it work is part of some crazy conspiracy ring to make you think that it worked. I'm quite impressed, actually... they're still going at it 10 years after the game was released.

jeese its annoying when u people do that some people are like that person u commented about and plus the subject is about the master hand cheat a fake not commenting on people on the internet. I have a question is there a way you can be the master hand on the n64 or is just in the emulation? and i tried it on the project 64 the master hand sucks compared to metal mario.
