In Virginia points are good. Losing points is bad. Demerit points are negative points theat reduce your point total. A +5 DMV record is perfect and -5 is not good. Check this site out for more info on demerit points http://www.virginiatickethelp.com/traffic-ticket-basics/dmv-points.html

A super awesome trip is to float down bull run from Rt 28 to Yates Ford Road. There is some great bass fishing there. The Va state police actually have a few radar detector & jammer detectors. The put them in the cop car and if they get a signal they pull them over and search them. I don't think they have more than one or two though. But if the local cops or state police catch you they can't charge under federal law and its only a ticket with a small fines under Virginia law.

I know people who had strokes and were permanently crippled because the jail refused to give them their medication. I have also seen people injured by the jail staff after they were given extreme doses of tranquilizers after acting out violently. If people have special medical needs the jail is a very dangerous place sometimes.

Not a bad article but there are several things that don't apply to Virginia or Fairfax.
