"Lt. Carole Germano told The Salem News that the man - whose name was not released - was freed from the machine and showed no obvious sign of trauma, but was taken to a hospital as a precaution" I bet he had a shit stain in his pants the size of the Gulf oil spill.

Of all his pictures this one bothers me the most. Him being in the kiddie pool. Just gives me the creeps. I will be at Alexandria location on the 26th. Call it a car wreck mentality but I just have to see this guy in person.

What I dont understand is the gift giving to government regualtors by the oil companies. Am I missing something or is this totally corrupt? I have heard it mentioned numerous times but no attachment of an investigation into this practice. I dont care if it was Bush, Obama, Clinton or Herbert Hoover that is wrong on so many levels.

What I cannot figure out, no matter whose fault it is, how can there not be a contingency plan for this type of event. It seems like someone involved in the drilling would know it could happen and then what can be done to stop it. I dont buy that it is because of the depth. If that was the case then drilling should have never been allowed in the first place. It doesnt appear that anyone involved

I heard on the news he wanted to be a veterinarian when he grew up. A very sad loss for someone so young.

Considering Iraq is about the size of California and has a population of 31.2 million 4,000 U S casualties seems small. Unless you are one of the casualties. These things happen in war. Innocent people get killed, atrocities occur on both sides and nothing is fair.

The reason they wont resign is the power and the perks. Once in office they get their asses kissed by everyone. They travel all over at taxpayer expense and answer to no one until the next election.

When was the last time someone from either party did something that helped the middle class and not a special interest lobbying group? Both sides are equally guilty. Once they arrive in Washington they forget everything they said to get there. I have my own moral compass and dont need any politician to lecture me on spending or fidelity. Congress is just an old boys club which is for sale to t

I use Shirley Gate Road as a cut through from Braddock to Lee Highway. One of the last streets before I turn is Peep Toad Drive. I always wanted to live on something like that maybe Pissant Road.

I like to think of Walmart in the terms of Cannery Row by John Steinbeck. Some people see whores, pimps, gamblers and sons of bitches. While someone else sees saints, angels, martyrs and holy men. In other words what you see in Walmart depends on the person doing the observation. While I used to hate Walmart I now go in knowing it is expected I will see things I have never seen before. The big culprit, besides lack of self control, is the portions and of course the sugar laden soft drinks in the 32 ounce size. I stopped going with co workers to the chinese buffet, it was just too disgusting. People were eating as much and as fast as they could. Most were smelly and homeless people dressed better than this crowd. I agree with eat healthy, our current health care system is no m

The problem is the justice system catches only the small fish. When do you ever see a banker to go jail for helping the dealers launder the money. Drugs are a cash only business. They cannot get rid of all that cash, most in small denominations, without assistance. If the justice system wanted to hit a dealer hard they would take everything from them and also anyone who assists the dealers. I

I go for pretty much the same reasons as Meeper, the 24 hour lifestyle. In this area on weekdays after 10 everything is closed up. No matter what time you go to sleep or wake up in Vegas something is always happening. I also like the mystique of it being a city built by gangsters.

6/5 blackjack is just greedy. I guess casinos are trying to ride out the recession by screwing over the customers. You would think they would be happy with the fact that most players have no idea what they are doing.

I heard the old down town casinos cut that idea off as soon as it was proposed. I had heard that none of the old town section ever bought into that promotion. It was business as usual at Binions.

I have to agree with that. Plus when I win I have to keep my mouth shut and pull in the winnings without being too obvious. I try to stand near the end out of the way and just drop my odds on the dont come bets. The dealers know what I want and they also keep quiet. A shameful way to make a buck you are right. I once saw another guy betting the dont and he left his hands over rail and the dice
