True. That is a valid point. I'm not sure if reservists get pensions given that they have other jobs, but perhaps they do. I have no problem with someone doing 20+ with the government, getting their retirement, and then doing 20+ somewhere else and getting retirement, but you shouldn't be able to do both concurrently and double-dip the pot.

From what I remember reading, police officers make most of their income from working overtime. Their base salaries aren't anything special. There was a story a year ago or something on how police officers could double their salaries, but it required a sick amount of overtime and side gigs doing security work. If that's true, I'd fight like crazy too if I were this guy.

How is he being greedy? He is making a perfectly logical argument and is basing it on laws governing how public and private sector companies/organizations can treat military reservests while they are deployed.
