I've found the best way to avoid a speeding ticket is to flee on foot. Just hop out of the car and bolt.

Caught this newscast yesterday morning. The NBC4 anchor mistakenly reported that the sensors detect an average of 17,000 gunshots per day in DC. (the real number is 17). It must be funny if some out-of-towner overheard the 17,000 number and thinks DC has thousands and thousands of bullets flying around every day.

He's got my vote. I like the way he's not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ and his belief that Obamacare is a violation of people who seek to follow their faith rather than the dictates of the federal government.

Based on the states mentioned, I'm guessing 78-->PA Turnpike-->70-->44-->40-->15, and then some local freeway near LA. A bunch of guys driving 100+ mph across the country with almost no sleep sounds really stupid and dangerous, and this article probably encourages it. Let's see who can set the record for driving across Fairfax county!

Just take a look at the lyrics to "Pound Cake". Very profound and moving, I think anyone can relate to what Hagar is trying to evoke there.

Funny, Fu Manchu has a song on one of their old albums called "Egor". Same kinda stoner rock vibe they were putting on their records, I wonder if it's a shout-out.

Lou Reed did a lot of great stuff with the Velvet Underground and some good solo work early on. But he also released loads of mediochre, unmentionable stuff, and some stuff that was 100% pure crap. Can't really say he was overrated because he never seemed that popular to me. It seems like most people only knew of him because of Walk on The Wildside, and probably because it was on some tv comme

no joke at all, I think early Slade is great. keep in mind, I never saw those goofy videos until about ten years ago and didn't know what they looked like until then. even so, those are good songs, precursors to stuff that came out in the 80s. quiet riot totally ripped them off, it's amazing how Kevin Dubrow nearly copied Slade's vocal sound to a tee.

If anything, Slade should be in the rock and roll hall of fame. This is some great rock from that era. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68db9iial_U

The Zombies were also nominated and I hope they make it. People always remember stuff like the Beatles or the Beach Boys from the 60s but The Zombies were writing and recording some great stuff back then. Underrated band from that era IMO. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EipEj_9hiLU
