The Reston Community Center, having gone ahead and spent some $40,000 in a joint consultation with the Reston Association is now committed to learning what Reston really wants it to do. In addition to meeting with people they have decided on a cell phone method of surveying supervised by the University of Virginia. This may not be a bad thing, depending on who you talk to. It;s a great place with the islands protecting you from the chop. You can

Dear Friend, My son, Rand, has helped me campaign since he was 11. He and his brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews have literally knocked on thousands of doors for me. At the age of 21, Rand debated Phil Gramm in my US Senate race in my stead. During the Presidential election he traveled to ten states giving speeches for me. He appeared on hundreds of radio programs for me. I am gratefu

They are a very close knit Democrat originazation, not social Democrats like in Europe but business Democrats, but they often like to think of themselves as if in those terms. But they do fear a uprising of the people. Last time the independents, which consisted of Democrats wanting relief and unendorsed Republicans were divided in opposing her.The Republicans don't seem to really try, so maybe h

Did any read this today? After 35 years of slaming the Auto industry things are so bad that Nader is speaking out for the auto indusrty. Particurally bad is the move by GM to China! Senator Dick Durbin said last week that the banks own Congress. That's true. But they don't come close to the hammerlock their brothers in the health insurance and drug companies have over the place. The drug companies and health insurance companies control every nook and cranny on the Hill. If you doubt it, look no further than the events of the past two weeks at the Senate Finance Committe
