This is just a week's worth of crap the Vienna PD has to deal with. You wouldn't expect this in an entire town, let alone JUST an apartment complex: ------- VPD HIGHLIGHTS 7/25/08 9-1-1 Hang- up call- Person with a Gun 08-7113 200 Block Cedar Lane, SE July 19 7:25 p.m. Officer Maiorana was dispatched along with other units for a 9-1-1 call in which the caller had hung up before much informati

The people are packed into those apartments like sardines, which is why they loiter in the shopping center by the dozens, and roam the streets of Vienna. There are often fights, and with that the monthly stabbings. I'm not comparing it to south central, but it's pretty ghetto and has really made a negative mark on Vienna in general.

When was this put out? Is it valid? It sounds too surreal to believe and I'm only a quarter of the way through it.

This made me chuckle: "Sitting next to Herb, nodding in agreement, is Jim Cramer, host of “Mad Money.” This program is all that keeps CNBC out of the ratings quicksand, and it is easy to understand its appeal. Cramer is manifestly chimpanzee-like in both comportment and worldview–a fully arresting specimen of unsated mammalian appetition–a self-styled “journalist” who grunts and growls and snort

I hung out with REStonPeace and Genevieve on Saturday night. It was a pleasant evening until one of the girls at the gathering engaged RESton in a detailed conversation about what she thought his cock looked like.

I drive past that shopping center every day and the number of lingering "folks" only seems to get larger. While I'm sure the McDonalds there enjoys the constant supply of customers, I don't envy their position of having to cater to a community of illegal aliens. I wonder how many hours have passed since the last stabbing in that area.

Just like any county in the U.S., there are pockets of poorer areas. Fairfax circle, much of Annandale, a stretch of Chantilly, lots of Reston and Herndon, the apartments along Cedar Lane in Vienna, and a lot of Falls Church. If you're looking to avoid crime, stick to Vienna, Oakton, Oak Hill, or Fairfax Station.

That's too bad. The kind of crowd that Rain "lounge" attracted were real winners. It was like a convention for every clubbing loser that has a warrant out for their arrest in D.C. so they have to kick it in Fairfax.

Nobody gives a shit about the surge. We paid off the militias and that is why the violence is down. While I don't mind my tax dollars going to protect our forces, I am a little tired of us bribing these thugs that will one day be our enemies again. What a pointless war.

The NRO is responsible for planning the launch and coordination of our spy satellites. The building is just a bunch of nerds and engineers, nothing too special going on there. Very nice building though, especially for the gov't.

The amounts of illegals running around that block is absurd. You'd think that in a town like Vienna with a huge police force down the road and almost zero crime that they'd be camped out there every second of every day.

Long term, yeah, as in 20 years from now. Sorry folks, your home isn't worth anything close to what you think it is. And it will be worth 10% less by next year (20% adjusted for inflation) and so on.
