The majority of people use Windows Federal Credit Union, although I hear Linux Federal Credit Union is gaining popularity. (Sorry, couldn't resist!)

FWIW, I doubt there's a "regulation". It's more likely a "standard of the reasonable man" scenario. Assuming that anybody on this forum is reasonable (a stretch, I realize) and a man (also not clear), some of them think you're toast. If you're not on the edge of losing your license already, I wouldn't bother. If you are, and you can afford the $$$ but not the inability to drive, then go for it

Go to www.fairfaxcounty.com/dta and see if you can find it. With the VIN I'd think you can. It will want the "property number" at first; in the future, pay online (via e-check, no charge) and let it save the property number, so you can look it up by letting your browser fill in the number. (Yeah, I know this because I, too, failed to keep my PPT bill with my tax stuff, and my tax guy needed the n

So one thing I've been unable to tell for sure from the 495expresslanes.com site: If I get on 495 northbound from Jones Branch, can I get off on the Dulles Toll Road? It sort of looks like I *can't* from the wee animation on https://www.495expresslanes.com/using-the-lanes, but it's not entirely clear.

Right, my plan is to die like most of the rest of ya... Fact is, there's no reasonable way to evacuate a modern city. The attempt to do so would be likely to cause mass deaths anyway, as folks panicked. Nobody in power wants to admit this, for obvious reasons--nothing nefarious, just common sense.

I was with you up to "Democrats are full blown communists". You really need to read up on what "communist" means. The current Democratic party would be considered moderate to conservative in any other first-world country, or by either US party as of just a few years ago. And it certainly isn't "communist" by any accepted definition of the term.

I've been peering at FiOS for the last year or so, though we're reasonably happy with Cox. The two things that keep me from making the switch (aside from inertia/hassle avoidance) are: 1) Verizon claims that if we go to FiOS, all phone lines to the house have to switch to VoIP. We have two hard lines now, on separate accounts. I'd rather keep one of them as a hard line; so far, nobody at Verizon

OK, this isn't OP's fault, but nice to know that neither undergrad nor grad school teaches anything useful, like how to deal with accepting a job offer. Or even how to use Google: "job offer" stall gets a bunch of solid hits.
