Don't want your taxes raised to pay for Jack Dale's new digs? Then I suggest you vote for Pat Herrity. But you knew that.

I totally agree on Moon. He's never done a thing on the school board, except vote with the other democrats, always. I have NO clue what he would do as supervisor, except more of the same, vote as democrats tell him to vote. Oh, and he will raise buckets of money from the Korean community all over the DC area.

I've had both, had Cox for television, phone, and the highest speed internet. Then I switched to FIOS. It is hands down, better. And I paid less to. Given a choice, there's NO question, go with FIOS.

According to today's Washington Post, >>>A strategic communications team in Fairfax monitors the blogosphere and online message boards for misinformation or rumors, seeking to update the school system Web site and drive traffic there. The school system also is trying out new ways to include parents in important or controversial decisions from the earliest stages.<<< The have a

Good to know Steve that you don't want a public school system that is ever responsive to the public, those who pay the bills. Thank goodness they so rarely cave to what parents want, those pushy swim and dive parents won't get anywhere! Those jock-wanna-be parents, who try to live through their kids, don't stand a chance.

It has never, ever, made financial sense but that has never stopped democrats. They don't care how much it costs, they want it. They want it so that other people will take it to work and get off their roads. Not gonna happen. How about they just give every family in Fairfax county a new car, with free gas for life, and skip the rail system? Not to worry, it's not going to happen anyway.

If Pat wins, I have heard that former school board member Steve Hunt will run for the seat. If Sharon wins, Moon will run for the Braddock seat. He'll win because he's a democrat and because he raise buckets of money. Steve Hunt should have a good chance in the Springfield seat, he's popular and he too can raise money. Thomas More, what have you heard the democrats will do? Who is Carey

Let's keep the main thing the main thing. Academics. If it improves learning, increases attendance and GPA, then the school board should do it. All the rest of the stuff can work around the main thing, academics.

There's no reason. Colleges look at the courses a student took, along with GPA, SAT, etc. They don't care what FCPS calls the diploma.

Mrs. K, How bad does your son feel about having to go to a lowly VA school that is NOT Princeton? He must feel horrible for upsetting you so much, for being such a huge disappointment to you. How sad for him, to be such a disappoint for you. Maybe one of his siblings could go to Princeton to boost your spirits and give you something to brag about.

Sorry SOS, but you cannot expect the students of this county to continue to go to school at a ridiculously early hour to support your sport. If going to school later helps academics, how can you ask that they not change it for a sport?

Schools don't like parents telling them anything. They always think they know more than parents and taxpayers. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/01/11/AR2009011102310.html That makes what Fairgrade did all the more amazing. It took SLEEP FIVE LONG YEARS to get staff to come around. While Fairgrade didn't get staff to come around, the got the votes on the school boar

Fairgrade has enough support on the school board to change the grading scale in FCPS! A win for a parent group! Amazing. Stu Gibson is the only school board member who is outspokenly opposed. But what would we expect? He's always against parents and students. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/01/12/AR2009011202941.html

Yeah, we need MUCH higher taxes to pay for those big classes in FCPS and all those programs no one wants. Yeah, let's all make sure we vote for Bulova, she'll raise our taxes, just like we all want.
