Sounds like this could go somewhere and might be entertaining. However, as in my previous post, learning to operate the gear and produce a show is the easy part. The hard part is maintaining the COMMITMENT to follow through and finish your program. Many hours of standing behind a camera, operating sound gear, lights, whatever. Keeping your commitment is the hard part.

Go for it! I have worked on several shows for Ch 10 as a production assistant and it was a wonderful experience. Its easy to get the proper training to produce your own shows and relatively inexpensive. However, I will warn you, this is a very serious commitment and not to be taken lightly. After all my training, I came to the conclusion that anyone who can operate a home video camera and a DV

Well...like they used to say in the Army, "Bend over and spread your cheeks, Here comes the Green Weinie". In this case, "green" means $$$$.

I especially liked this part of the DC Examiner article: "The Examiner has also heard from lower-level Metro employees who bitterly complain about the “buddy system” that lets highly paid senior supervisors and their favored underlings hog overtime, arrive late and leave early, and spend much of their “work day” talking and hanging around station kiosks. Since they’re supervisors, nobody monitor

With our friend Marion Barry on the Metro Board, no wonder they need more money. http://www.wmata.com/about/board_gm/boardbios.cfm

It never ceases to amaze me. The monthly cost of taking bus/Metro downtown is as much as a car payment. Gouge, gouge, gouge is all I see. They should be lowering fares to gain more ridership. Ive ridden on subways in Atlanta and Montreal that were nearly identical to Metro, but the fares are a fraction of what we pay. I think what we need to do is replace the current Metro Board with "real" peopl

The Army background would be a great help. Also recommend that you take classes at night throuout your entire hitch. (The GI Bill is good but not perfect). If you expect a 9-5 job after getting a degree, maybe you should reconsider finance. I worked in financial institutions for 30 years and the only ones who work 40 hour weeks are low level clerical staff. If you are hired as a financial analyst

I once watched a bunch of Yankees visiting in S.C. They actually put cream, butter, and sugar on grits. Can you believe that? Such provincials.

Once, back in the stone age, I was granted a Top Secret/Crypto security clearance. The first requirement was that you be at least a third generation NATURAL BORN American citizen. I have been complaining to the Congress and the press for years about the dropping of this requirement. (Wen Ho Lee remember?) I will start grinding my axe again today, but expect it to fall on deaf ears. (political co

Lets face it, this illegal immigration problem is was out of control, and there are limited resources for localities. At which point should we start requesting our Governor to activate the States Militia and task them with solving the problem? From the Virginia State Constitution: SEC. 13. That a well-regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural
