121. Re: JMU
They treated their RAs like dirt compared to other schools, at least in the 90's. Beyond that there is plenty to like. Except for the campus "police". If you thought the GMU ones were dumb get ready for JMU's.

I was out of service for three or four hours Monday evening, and yeah there are definitely some performance issues today.

That's what I was thinking... it's a really racist thing to do and I'm surprised people would do it. I'm sure any drive-thru worker could use the money more than someone who can afford to go out and buy fast food regularly.

Ok, I misunderstood your post to mean a grand jury can bring any indictment it wants, therefore bringing these cops up before one is potentially as corrupt an action as not doing so. Thanks for the clarification :)

The problem is your property was sitting on someone else's property and it did not appeared from the expired parking pass that it had authorization to do so. In that case the "someone else's" property trumps your property. What if you owned a house with a driveway and someone parked in it and took off? Don't you think you have a right to get rid of that person's car, even though it means the t

We obviously have a difference in opinion. If you are comfortable with police departments internally shielding officers involved in these incidents from the judicial system then I doubt anything I type here will change your mind. It will be interesting to see what happens in civil proceedings. They are the only remaining recourse if police departments, working in conjunction with district atto

I used a place called "A Apple Appliance" a couple of times over the last few years for dryer repair and they have been fine. When I used them I thought they were in Fairfax City, but now the only listing I can find for a company with this name is in McLean. I realize the above is probably totally useless now that I have typed it but may it will help. Whoever you get a recommendation for, look

Agreed to in principle, however neither of the most recent shootings in NoVA went to a grand jury, zero for two. And a grand jury != indictment... there's not really anything to lose in sending evidence to one in these two cases. If there isn't enough evidence that a crime was committed (according to a grand jury, NOT to internal investigations) then the police department's discipline procedure

I think it's more terrifying that these incidents seem to always be handled "in-house" and are never brought to a grand jury.

L O L You bring up a point though... I tend to want to avoid acknowledgment of good deeds. If I'm in a hurry yet let someone else in line in traffic, I can think to myself "I hooked that driver up a little, he/she will never know it, but I was cool to them and I hope their day is better." But I'm not going to roll down the windows and yell "hey fucknut who cut me off, you should let someone el

Many people (myself included) would not like it if someone paid for something for me. Not only do I work hard and like to pay my own way, someone else could use the charity a lot more than me. Save the tolls and drive-thru money and buy a homeless person a sandwich or donate an equivalent amount on an annualized basis to a halfway house. Better yet still to integrate kind activities into every

The only problem I had with the call was the part near the end where he said he was going to "straighten her out" when he saw her next, or whatever the wording was. Everyone is a loser in a family situation like that, but I know enough divorced dads with teenage daughters to know exactly what's going on there... I'm sure the daughter has figured out how to play one parent off the other to her ad
