I don't buy it. It's a lot easier to focus on an IQ test when you don't have to worry about having your throat slashed on the way to and from the test (like in Sierra Leone). Also, how standardized are IQ tests between the USA and Zimbabwe? Do they even have regular schools in the Democratic Republic of the Congo?

It's interesting that you can get gun owner license info but I can't get driver's license info. Seems like you would have the same interest in knowing if your neighbor has a license to drive their car down your neighborhood streets.

The US subsidizes the rest of the world's medical care by subsidizing the pharmaceutical industry. US Citizens pay 50% more for the exact same drugs as the rest of the world http://www.cbo.gov/publication/15590 Why? Because governments with socialized medicine mandate that if the drug costs more than a certain price point, it won't be sold/used at all in their country. So the drug companies

Does anyone have any albums (not just one song) that are on their personal "top 10" that most people have never heard of? It doesn't have to be completely unknown, but at least somewhat obscure.........

I've always seen Trader Joe's as a low end store. It made perfect sense when I found out that the parent company also owns Aldi. They're basically the same store, but one is targeting juuuuuuussst a bit lower on the socio-economic scale.

These Roads are always roads to nowhwere. Look at the Fairfax County Parkway. Where does that go? From 95 to Route 7. Sounds like the new road will go from 66 to Route 7. It will take a lot of pressure off of 28 too, which, despite going from nowhere (Manassas) to Route 7, is massively packed most of the time.

Please ban talking on cell phones too! I'm so freaking tired of people driving 30 mph under the speed limit because their phone conversation is soooooo enthralling. Oh and daily some jackass at a traffic light doesn't go because their checking their Facebook status. The state should just allow other drivers to beat cell phone talkers/texters senseless and run their car into a ditch.

I'm pretty sure that we're going off the so-called 'fiscal cliff'. Both sides of this negotiation have become entrenched and its very unlikely anyone will blink. And honestly, I'm not sure anyone wants to reach an agreement really. As the 'cliff' will actually begin to solve the problem while allowing each side to blame the other. In the end, it will probably be a good thing. Historians will pr
