I ride a Katana as well. Yeah it's heavy, and it's not the fastest bike on the road, but I average 58 mpg on my commute. Don't bother with Tulane, it's terrible. That said, the upward trend has to help and the AP bump helped me back in my day so I imagine today it's still similar. Good luck, either of those schools would be a great choice.
