So it's not at all hypocritical to make unfounded, negative and inflammatory statements about all people who happen to like the confederate flag? The fact that in this case the generalization may be true is not an excuse to engage in the very behavior you're trying to indict. I did try craigslist too, but didn't find anyone. I was just hoping someone else in Centreville would be going to GMU this Fall.

I'm looking for anyone in Centreville taking night classes at GMU on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Due to vision problems, I can't drive at night, and am looking for a way home. For the Fall, I get out at 10:00 PM on Tuesdays and 7:20 PM on Thursdays. Let me know, thanks!

Just wondering if anyone from Centreville has a late class at GMU (getting out at 10:00 PM) on Tuesdays this Fall. Due to my eyesight, I can't drive at night, and am looking for a way home in the evenings. Also, 7:20 on Thursdays, but that's less important since the busses are still running.

RH&B is fuckin' nasty. It's also incredibly expensive. If you're gonna eat at a chain, Famous Dave's beats it all to hell any day. Famous Dave's also beats most of the strictly local restaurants, too. But that's not saying much. Rocklands, while not in FFX Co., is the best BBQ you can find in the area. I've never been to the Alexandria or DC locations, but the one in Arlington is amazing. W

I do not smoke. I simply think people who own businesses should be able to run them more or less as they see fit. If a restaurant owner wants to ban smoking in his establishment, I'm all for it. If a bar owner wishes to allow smoking in his, I'm all for that, too. Nobody is making you go to a smoky establishment if you don't want to.

Yay! Go Cary! Sorry, I have nothing to add, currently. I made my one contribution... And that's all I know.

Thai Basil has gone WAAAAY downhill from where it was a few years ago. Thai Palace in the shopping center with the Costco and Famous Dave's is much better.

I wasn't disputing the accuracy of your post (and I'm too lazy to look them up). They just struck me as hilarious, in conjunction with the genre of offense.

It'll be a sad day when Virginia joins the likes of DC and MD. Virginia was founded on tobacco. Oh, and on freedom. If people don't want smokers in their places of business, let them decide that on their own.

We always made a drinking game out of watching the news. Every other story was about PG county. So we had to make separate rules for the TYPES of crimes in PG county. One drink for burglary/B&E/muggings/etc., two drinks for murder, three for rape or arson. Bonus for combinations. I challenge anyone to try it. You won't last 10 minutes :)

Cary, any way to block the IP of the jackass spamming the crap out of the wiki? Or are they using a service to randomize it?

Last night a guy was going door to door in west C-ville (specifically London Towne West), claiming to be with ADT. He said that "due to recent break-ins and fires in the zip-code" they were going around offering service. Said they had a special promotion going where if they could put an ADT sign in our yard, we'd get free ADT equipment. He was not wearing any kind of uniform, just a green and gr

Ha! That's awesome. Makes sense though, considering that's where I first heard about the fees, long before it became a general issue. One of the Front Royal Town Councilmen is a lawyer and put out a flyer about it to people in the area, detailing the whole thing and warning everyone about the consequences. This was months ago, now.

Often, if you do fail, but fail by only a little bit, all you need to do is get a fresh tank of good gas; i.e., NOT Sunoco. Get Shell high octane, clean or replace your air filter, and you should be good to go.

In case anyone will find it useful, I added a page on the wiki about public shooting ranges in the area, with links. For the record, that would be Bull Run Shooting Center in Centreville, the NRA Range in Fairfax, Gilbert Range in Springfield, and Blue Ridge Arsenal in Chantilly. Check out the page if you're interested, and add any more you know of!

Ok, let me help you all. Virginia wines are currently some of the best in the world. Unfortunately, some of the better ones price themselves accordingly. The biggest name is Oasis Vineyards. They're in Hume, VA, near Front Royal. They have received numerous awards over the years. They are expensive, and I don't think they're as good as they used to be. Certainly they're not as good as they thin

Just because they can resegment the cable network doesn't mean they actually do... Timeslots, channels, etc. can only handle so much. I had Cox for a while, and they were good. Then about 6 months before I switched to FIOS they started going downhill fast. Getting slower and slower. I love my FIOS. I have internet and TV (I also use VoIP, but through an independant service, not Verizon's shitty
