I knew the GA voted not to spend more money on electronic voting equipment, but I didn't know that meant maintenance of existing equipment. Today at my voting precinct , there was on voting machine and five 3-sided card enclosures strategically placed on tables so people could complete their paper ballots. Maybe this is the County's way to put people to work - get rid of the voting machines

You may want to focus more on your state legislators. The health care bill, along with some version of a public option, is drafted to delegate to the states administration of health insurance, public option and distribution of care, working with each indivdiual state's mandates and the handful of insurance providers selected to sell insurance in the state. As for Warner and Webb, both plan t

American voters EXPECT their Congressional representatives to make

Maybe if more able-bodied people parked a little further from the store and walked the extra 100 steps, obesity would be such a big issue in our country. The alternative is to add a few more reserved parking spaces for "fat people who aren't pregnant".

For years, Americans have voted very-to-somewhat Liberal, very-to-somewhat Conservative and Stupid, and surprisingly enough, the country always manages to survive. What is truly amazing about this country and its people is that no matter how out of kilter the country gets tipped, it always manages to right itself. We hit a rough patch that we'll work through, and learn from to make us even

The Public Option is still in the elusive phase and no one really knows what it is, how it will be funded or who will benefit from it (income/assets restrictions). The only thing we have to work with is Obama’s promise that “the Public Option is a good thing.” A promise from a man who has promised much and delivered nothing. Purely speculation - it sounds like the Public Option will be tie

I thought the road was completely paid for. Sorry about that. Today on the news it was reported that the toll booth increases would fund the extension to Dulles, which I presume was a "quiet add on" after the fact. Kinda like the Reston Community Center - it was paid off and then they decided to do some major renovations, and now trying to build a 2nd Center, so they just extended the Sma

You've never done a "real age" test have you? http://www.realage.com/ Some people who are 40, look, act and feel 40 biological years or older. Others do not - its all about lifestyle, and often without benefit of cosmetic surgery.

The Democrats don't want to risk messing with the Hispanice vote either, so they do nothing rather than something as well. Two parties of No Implementing E-Verify nationwide at both workplaces and government agencies - and following through with strict enforcement for those how violate the laws - will go further than nay other acts by Congress on either side of the aisle. And, E-Verify is eas

The toll road IS paid for. They are working on the extension to Dulles now. The toll road is a reliable source of continued revenue. The new main and ramp booths increases should be sufficient to conduct further studies and give Plum etal justification to keep Northern VA transportation tax dollars in the Rest of Virginia, rather than coming home.

Shop there often and always found the sales associates to be most helpful and courteous. A few weeks ago, I asked a young sales associate to help me find a sweater in my size. We looked for some time and decided my size was not in stock. Rather than let it rest, the associate called some of the other stores to see if they could send one over. When that didn't work, we checked the internet a
