I guess you're right, I should've drilled a well behind my building and pumped enough water out to lower the groundwater level. Trouble is, I've only lived here for a year and haven't moved all my heavy drilling equipment up yet, so towels in the laundry room floor will have to suffice until then. Fortunately, the lack of torrential downpour today has ceased the laundry room flood.

Someone mentioned Baja Fresh being a healthier alternative to Chipotle. I'm pretty sure I looked up the nutritional information online after eating there the first time and the difference was negligible, if any. One of the Chipotle burritos has as much fat as 2 Big Macs. And Chipotle is owned by McDonald's.

Today I was on 66 and the banding of today's storm was ridiculous. I would literally drive through 1/4 mile of nothing, and then 1/4 mile of some of the hardest rain I've ever been in. And that kept happening for a few hours.

I was on 66 east about 5 pm today, about to get off at FX County Parkway, but I saw a huge plume of black smoke ahead so stayed on 66 so I could rubberneck (at least I admit it). I was on 50 at Stonecroft heading toward 28. Two cops on motorcycles pull into the middle of the intersection and hold their hands up, stopping traffic. We all wait for about 2 minutes until 7-8 other cops on motorcycles drive through escorting a black tourbus-looking thing with S&S Limousines on the side, then the 2 cops ride off with them.
