I don't know about Unbelievable, but Hypocritical N is doing something calculated to associate a substantial, thoughtful critique of Obama with the racism central to his post. I reject the racism as a toxic poison that repels any reasoning person. Hypocritical N might be the racist that he, at first blush, appears to be. MORE LIKELY SCENARIO, he is an Obama supporter. No this is not from the Onion, CNN Twitter feed https://twitter.com/cnnbrk/status/723554861288198146 has just a portion (see the attached photo for that tweet) of the following key quote from President Obama: What happens in Europe is going to have an impact in the United States. White Oak Canyon Trail (WOCT) is pretty steep with many rocks and tree roots providing tripping opportunities, if I remember correctly. I sure would not want to be jogging on something like that. Of course, I've seen joggers on other trails that provided similar trip hazards. WOCT has a parking lot off Skyline Drive and another parking lot near the bottom of the trail, close to the Old Rag park

Arguably, these guys committed: - assault (if you and/or your fiance reasonably feared a harmful or offensive bodily contact), - lewd and lascivious conduct (grabbing their privates), and - at the very least, disorderly conduct. So you could have called the police on these guys. Also, it would help if you could discreetly video and/or record audio of the interaction. I would recommend that

I think this fun event is free for humans, but they ask for a fee if you bring a dog. A donation to beagle rescue is probably appropriate if you don’t bring a dog. They will probably have beagles to adopt. There are quite a few beagles available for adoption listed on the website. Below from http://www.brewbeagles.org/2016-spring-beaglefest/ 2016 Spring Beaglefest – Saturday April 16th! Give

Grey, With Dish or other satellite TV/internet providers, do the TV signals/internet speed (i.e., bandwidth) degrade substantially when it rains? In 2005, my wife and I rented a vacation cabin with satellite TV in WV. When it rained, the signals for all or most channels dropped out. I know that was the remnants of hurricane Katrina, but I don't remember it raining more heavily than a typical st

Here is a related thread that may provide useful info: Cox Contour vs. Verizon FIOS http://www.fairfaxunderground.com/forum/read/2/2130388/2131196.html I still haven't switched to FIOS. If you know, please answer below: Questions: With FIOS can you set up to record a show from a set top box and TV that are remote from the DVR? Or can you only schedule a recording from one loc

Greybeard, Thanks for the informative post. I love your idea of setting the box to record a particular movie if it is ever aired and well in advance of when it's on the schedule (which usually only extends a week out). A DVR that with that capability would really be useful. The UI weirdness makes me think of my recent experience in a vacation rental house that had an Xfinity setup with an HD D

Which is better for cable TV, internet, and landline phone? Anyone have experience with both of them? How do the costs compare? We have all the normal channels and non-premium cable channels (AMC, TNT, FX, etc.) as well as a movie tier (ten or so encore and similar movie channels, but not HBO, Showtime, etc.) and subscribe to SEC channel during football and basketball seasons. Right now we hav

Try a nice communication (phone call preferred over email). Say something like: I asked nicely before if you would keep your dog under control, on-leash and off my property. Well, the dog ran towards me off-leash and on my property yet again. I would like to work this out in a neighborly fashion without bringing in Animal Control/Police. I hope that you would want to reach a friendly resoluti

At least from 730 up until 830 pm, Lee Highway's westbound (toward Fairfax Circle) lanes were blocked & closed by police starting at Blake Lane. Maybe accident reconstruction, but I'm just guessing. It may still be going on. Several police cars there. Flares and an officer blocking Lee Highway and directing westbound traffic to turn right or left onto Blake Lane. I think that the eastbound
