The marchers are claiming that the NRA is racist, based on this great ad for the NRA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtGOQFf9VCE Most or all of the rioters shown in the ad are white (clad in black as part of the anarchist "Black Block"), but I don't see what they think is racist in the ad. Also, they claim that the NRA was racist for not speaking up for the black legal gun owner shot by the Hi

Apparently, the women's march & related gun control groups are protesting at NRA Headquarters Friday morning followed by a march at noon from the NRA to the Dept of Justice (DOJ) in DC. Years ago, when my dog was still alive, we came upon a copperhead on the trail from Great Falls Park to Riverbend Park. The snake froze when he felt the vibration of the ground (snakes don't have ears). Fortunately, I spotted the copperhead from about 15 feet away, despite the snake's camo pattern which blended well with the dirt and leaves on the path. Makes it hard to see, especially when the

Whether it's Rev Al Sharpton, Jorge Ramos or former KKK David Duke, why is it so important to racialize everything? Will you apologize if it turns out that the people involved don't fit your preconceived ideas? I don't know who is involved. Are you going hate on white people if it turns out that whites are involved? When you trash groups of people like this, I think of my black neighbor/frie

I'll repeat my post from another thread. Agent Michael T. Walter was murdered as he worked to enforce laws that our representatives have enacted. "could make out the driver was firing through the car’s windshield, at the cruiser.” If the perp is shooting through his own windshield, maybe it was a stolen car. That would explain why they fled from police when being pulled over for a routine traffic stop. Below are stills of the car that FCPD got off the dash cam. Hope that they can catch perps soon.

In addition to following suggestions that I made above, you should consider getting a pet, preferably from an animal shelter. I'm partial towards dogs, but a cat might be better suited for you if you would be away from home for many hours every work day. Both animals have advantages and disadvantages. Also, get involved in helping people through a charity or on your own. That could help elevate

I can't tell whether you are serious, but I will take this seriously. Please talk to family and friends before you take such a drastic and probably unchangeable action. Carefully consider how this will affect those who know you and care about you. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, at least in the overwhelming majority of cases. About 80% of those who try suicide by jumpi

Just to clarify, they continue recount efforts in some local parts of PA if local judges approve. So the headline from the story, which I also used as a headline for the post, is misleading. Still, it seems that the money Stein raised was sufficient to pay the bond the judge asked them to post.

Most Labrador retrievers are gentle dogs, but there are exceptions. Those posters who are so sure that the shooter was clearly wrong to shoot are assuming that the dog was not a threat and that the shooter should have realized it. As I posted previously, without video or talking to the witnesses in person it is hard to evaluate whether the shooting was justified. However, the animal control/d

I should make clear that the shooter should not have shot the dog unless he reasonably felt under threat. Without video and/or hearing directly from witnesses, I don't know that one can be certain about how reasonable his shooting was. A friend of mine had made a suggestion to me as to defending against loose dogs. His suggestion was getting a concealed carry permit and carrying a particular rev

I love dogs. I sympathize with the woman. That said, the woman is the author of her own misfortune. If her dog was leashed and/or trained not to run at people, none of this would have happened. The OP says that the shooter is a coward. However, if the police are right that the illegally loose dogs were “behaving aggressively," the man had a right to defend himself. Would the OP willingly let
