Dogfish head makes good beers... but I haven't been to the Alehouse yet, can't imagine it being bad. Hopps is passable if you are in the crystal city area. and I guess, I'll second the Shenandoah BC recommendation, though their stout is a bit too sweet for my tastes. Their lager was good.

I had a really bad meatball sub the other day at Firehouse, so be careful. Sauce, bread, and cheese were great, but the balls tasted like burnt dog food. Could of been a fluke, but disappointing just the same.

Also, listen to news to hear what Obama plans to do for the labor unions... they'll be seeing a resurgence soon, I'm sure. Further, the strength of labor unions have waned simply because they have driven labor out of this country. Formerhick, quit reading that union funded liberal smokescreen, and look for some real insight from the von Mises school of thought. As George points out, Small b

"A boost in the minimum wage would benefit about 15 million people, according to the Economic Policy Institute, a Washington research group partially funded by labor unions." I think its important to realize that alot of the research into the benefits of wage laws is funded by labor unions, because in the end, labor unions are the ones who benefit most from increased minimum wage.

Here's some internet legal advice for you, so take it for what it's worth... but I don't think you actually have to be drunk to be charged with drunk in public, just being a jack ass will get this charge as well.

better to tell the truth and not get hired than to lie and have them find out about after you're hired.

Celebrate Fairfax, Inc. (CFI), a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation, was created by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors in 1984, as the result of a citizen blue ribbon study. Today, CFI's mission is "The Celebration of Fairfax County and Its Communities." Kind of sounds like a Chamber of Commerace to me, the benefits of which are slightly less tangible than, say, the police or emt force. But bas

I framed my original post as a question because I was hoping you would explain your position further. As you have now elaborated on your position, I can see that - as I assumed - you are of the opinion that special education money is better spent on those with "disabilities" than it is being spent on gifted students, i.e. those who find little challenge in a traditional curriculum. I guess the

+1 govvy incentives have an odd way of backfiring. It goes back to the knowledge problem. There is no way for the Gov to have complete knowledge of what is best for everybody, and therefor should keep it's nose out of most matters, and defer to the self-correcting knowledge of the masses. Yes sometimes this means going through a little pain, and may cost a few people their lifes, but the en
