Dude, give me a break. I've lived here all my life - went to FFX Co. schools during the "mini ice age" of the 1960s. Trust me, when it got cold, we went to school. When it snowed, they put chains on the busses. I never remember schools closing because it got cold outside. In conditions like this, you wear a sweater under your coat and warm gloves. I well remember Crossroads Airport, where Skyline Center is now located. I also remember the little pony ring that used to be in the SE quadrant of Bailey's Crossroads where you could pay a few bucks to have your kid ride a pony, before they built the big interchange there and obliterated it.

I lived in a condo for 17 years, and most years, no kids showed up. A few years I had one kid show up. I think kids are not inclined to trick or treat in condo complexes, and I understand there's little traffic in townhouse communities as well, though someone can correct me if I'm wrong. It seems most of the trick or treating is done in single family home communities.
