The problem was DNS glue records with Network Solutions. I host Fairfax Underground's DNS on my own servers, but rely on Network Solutions to provide the "glue" binding my name servers to IP addresses. The glue records with NetSol were updated, but the update didn't stick. Recursive resolvers that honored the name server's DNS name worked, while resolvers that honored the glue record did not.
