I'm curious what the angry taxpayers are actually proposing. Are they proposing that we cut emergency response personnel/units, which would then increase response times to fires and police calls? This anti-police/firefighter thing seems to be a very recent development, usually conservatives have been gung-ho about law and order and acknowledge that fire/police services are legitimate functions
