If you want to get really technical about the lingo: NoVa = Northern Virginia, while NOVA (All caps) = Northern Virginia Community College. We already had a thread about it years ago. As for real world usage, I only use NoVa/NOVA when typing a message, while in person or over the phone I usually say: Northern Virginia for the region, and NOVA for NVCC.

Waterside used to be mostly black folks years ago, but I'm not sure about it anymore. Apparatuses 425, 431, 436, and 439 responded, so did FFX 1. I'm not sure about 404. Initially they believed it was a fire victim as they pulled her out of the fire and onto the landing, but of course that conclusion soon changed. It's a shame, but great job by Fairfax Fire & Rescue.

So what those 54% are still admitting, regardless of a coverup or not, is that the administration is completely incompetent.

Elections work in cycles, and if you look at the vote tallies in 2008 vs. 2012, the gap between the GOP and

Although I've never been a fan of President Obama and his administration, I didn't really think of him as a purely incompetent lunatic until now. The actions of Benghazi are it, there is nothing else that can make up for nor excuse what occurred regarding the allowed slaughter of our fellow Americans. I can understand and accept mistakes, they happen, but knowing what was happening, being able to

Well, aside from disagreeing with a number of his stances, I also fail to see the point in wasting a vote on someone who has no chance whatsoever of winning. I'm concerned enough with the immediate course of our nation, that I want to get someone in office who can make the quick, solid adjustments necessary to get us heading back in the right direction. Even if my candidate of choice doesn't prop

I'm not sure if it is related, but there have been multiple power outages this morning. In Reston we had one of the largest, and according to Dominion a line was down. They just had to replace transformer fuses next to my house.

There's something that's rotting out the core of a lot of trees in the area lately. The one we had hit our house was overall a healthy one until recently, and when it fell the stump and roots stayed in the ground, but it snapped off about two feet up. The only part of the tree hollowed out and dark was near the base, but not at it. I spent a lot of time in Downtown Great Falls over the years, an

That place is shit, they even have streets with Viet names. There was a big shootout there some years ago at one of the pool halls, and the main group that chilled there used to always be getting into brawls with a group I knew. The feud eventually resulted in a few driveby shootings, initially one of their guys used a pistol, and then a kid I knew used a .12 gauge shotgun in retaliation.

Those cutes are the cutest thing I've seen in quite a while, lol. Too bad they didn't have this when I was a little kid and I had my cow costume from my church Nativity play.

Both are great movies, and they do service in portraying two very real stories (Which in turn are a major part of America).
