I would jjust go to a regular mechanic for routine maintenance. You have to be careful with some things. Like about someone's coolant being topped off, there are different kinds of coolant. There's the old green, there's Toyota pink type coolant, GM Dexcool, and some new super-long-life coolants. If you use the wrong one and mix them, it could screw up your car.

Someone who drives a Miata probably actually knows something about driving cars and has it because it handles. It's not a high-end car such as a Porsche, but most cars aren't.
