Pgens, I'm very glad that you're alright. I know exactly where you are talking about, and would have never thought that that kind of activity goes on around there. Guess it goes on everywhere. It really really sucks. Did you report it to the cops? Did it happen at night? I don't know if I could have maintained my cool after something like that. I might have gone after him/her/them.

>A 16-year-old kid was busted for DUI (he shouldn't have been drinking in the first place). The kid was in the country illegally and came from a country where people don't trust the cops. Of course he shouldn't have been drinking in the first place, but again, how many people can say with absolute truth that they have never ever driven while under the influence?? I'm sure some haven't, but

“Local Police Find New Way to Kill Criminal”.. whoever thought that one up would be a superb writer for one of the area’s more popular newspapers. >that kid was wasted and he totally did something really stupid. I don't see how this wasn't something SO stupid, that the cop assessed the risk and decided he was better off not taking a massive risk. And nobody here has ever done something reall

So sad... but rather than harp on the cops or the family, please let me mention my humble opinion regarding the bridges. I think that ALL bridges should have chain link or something to that effect that you can see through but that nothing can jump over. Or for that matter, throw something over. Some cases in point.. I know a guy who was getting onto I-66 from Rt. 123. As he drove under one of

Seems like the drivers just get worse and worse and worse. Twice this weekend I was out and saw drivers who decided to stop wherever they were on the road and either pick up or let somebody out. The first one was going east on Lee Hwy. just past the Pan Am shopping center. No brake lights, no nothing, just stopped in the right lane. The car in front of me swerved around him, which didn’t give

There used to be (maybe still are) attorneys around here who will have a free consultation with you. If they believe they can win your case their payment will be a third of the settlement, with you getting the rest. Also you may want to check out http://counsel.net/chatboards/legal-questions/ They respond quickly and may be able to help you get started. I don't think you are required to sig

>I am in montana now but I am going to be near the metro station it is within a couple of blocks an easy walk. You won't be driving much around here anyway. All you have to do is take your foot off the brake occasionally to go from point A to point B, and steer with your knee. Be sure to get a cellphone too, it helps to fit in with the local culture and exudes an air of importance.

>By the way, I should point out that the Sterling Costco is NOT in Fairfax County. >It is in Loudon County :) But was the driver Korean? If so then it still has to do with Fairfax County, maybe even Fairfax City. There is no concept of passing lanes or exit lanes around here. Any lane that exits to the left is so inadequate that cars back up into what used to be known as a passing lan

And here is the ironic thing, as bad as the minivan and SUV drivers typically are..... they are the very ones who are the most likely to let you get in front of them if you're trying to get onto the highway or need to get over, and they will patiently give you a break out on the road without going into road rage.

Amphora sure doesn't have a good track record, check it out: http://www.healthspace.ca/Clients/VDH/Fairfax/Fairfax_Website.nsf/ Knossos, right next door, is delicious, but may only be open until 10pm. They might even be associated with Amphora but could make a cockroach taste like a delicacy.

NOVA really doesn’t have a 100% tard driving population, maybe 97%. This extends to those who don’t drive crotch rockets, too. I’m a darn good driver. I keep up with traffic. If someone just has to get around I move over if I can. I don't cruise at the speed limit in the "passing lane". Of course nova has no idea what a passing lane is. I think people yap on their idiot cellphones sicken m

Now _that_ made me laugh! I haven’t seen any coyotes in Fx., but would feed it if I did. I did see a fox sunning itself on our deck the other morning. Sure was a pretty thing, alert too. The Mexicans don’t bother

Yeah nobody smiled in that office. Orthodontics has changed a lot since those days. They used to take your teeth out instead of work with the ones you have, so today I am missing 8 permanent teeth. When I see some of these advertisements on tv it's like I can't believe how many teeth people really have! Do you know where the Home Depot is on Pickett Rd in Fairfax? Even before it became a dri

>Hey, in the early to mid 60's, I went to an orthodondist across 236 from McDonalds.....Dr Minitree, I beleive was his name, or something like that. This is funny! Yes, he was the one I went to, too, can you believe that? I used to think he was some kind of monster. You may have seen me, I was the one that my dad dragged in there, kicking and screaming (me, not my dad).

Yes to Shakeys, that was the best pizza next to Mario’s. Across Backlick Road from there is some kind of Korean Spa. A girl I know said she went there one day to check it out and get a massage. She noticed in the corner of the sauna there were cartons and cartons of eggs stacked up in one of the corners, each carton was marked with a date. She believed they were trying to hatch the eggs, and

I came to Fairfax a long time ago and watched it progress to the mess it currently is. Watched all the good restaurants close, watched all kinds of stores close, watched the trees get bulldozed, watched townhouses spread like a malignancy, watched nice residential areas turn into ghettos, couldn't stand it and moved away. Came back because I missed family still here, and went through culture sh

That's a superb analogy. I really like people can explain things so well. 10-100 is also a p

Now that MOST of the decent people have moved out of the area to as far away as possible this is becoming the new norm, freaks, predators, degenerates, illegals, and morons.

How so? We are talking about how the heck to use the site. The icons need to go. Next, when you read something say from Virginia, it needs to remember that instead of making you select Virginia every single time. I don’t understand the point, other than it might make you feel good to type up a moron. Reminds me of dontdatehimgirl.com. If I were looking for some guy to go out with I seriousl

Oh, just one more thing, remember Po’ Folks? They had the best catfish and blackberry cobbler, you drank out of a Mason jar, and there was always a crowd there. But guess what? Another one bit the dust. Now it’s the Outback. Yuk.

I can’t imagine anyone driving away after hitting somebody, and with all the traffic around why didn’t someone call the cops? Didn’t anyone see the body afterwards? Are people that uncaring that they would just drive on by? I wonder if the dog lived? This is just so freaking sad and tragic.

There are too many instances where F sounds like S, P like D or E, M like N, C like S, people have accents, too many are from different countries whose English is real hard to understand (try calling Linksys tech support sometime). Next they will have to learn the phonetic alphabet, and a set of standardized phrases. I just think it's a bad idea and that they should stick to 10-codes, which is

I agree, it's very poorly designed and belongs at www.websitesthatsuck.com. Like we are really going to remember the license plate of every vehicle driven by a moron? Then what? OK dude you hit me, let me search my brain to see if you're on platewire.com, that would be just about everybody in northernVA.
