So at the beginning of the K&M show this morning Jimmy Alexander poked his head in the studio to say something to K&M and Mike starts going on about how great the other people in the bldg are - including Jack (Diamond).

Keep an eye out at the Bob Evans off of 123. That's right, he had to pull off and nap in the parking lot of Bob Evans because he couldn't make it from 123 to Manassas....

I love when Mike talks about getting up and going to work as "Slaying the Dragon". Like he's completing some kind of Herculean task by rolling himself into a radio studio every day.

God, listening to Mike bitch this morning about almost being late because he had to stop and put the trash out before he left was so hilarious and infuriating. Hey, fat fuck, set your alarm for 5 minutes earlier and then getting to work on time won't come down to a matter of minutes....

I've listened to the Kirk and Mike show a little bit during my commute and while it's nowhere near as bad as the MOM Show or the podcast, my favorite moment was when they played the Mel Gibson tapes. Mike to emphasize over and over that he wasn't condoning Mel but he was clearly trying to place some of the blame on the girlfriend. He even admitted he's been in that position where you feel like yo

"After deciding there was no current slot for me on their stations, we started the podcast dance." Jesus Christ, how could CBS not jump at the chance to have Don back doing a new show? Unbelievable...

I don't think Rob and Buzz like working with Mike. You can often hear the tension between them. They know how bad the show is. They saw how things were run with Don and how Mike is phoning it in but what other option do they have? VO work for Buzz? Another sidekick slot making less money for Rob?

From DCRTV: "BO&D Edge Ahead Of MO'M - 3/31 - One more thing about today's early March PPMs. Could be just a blip. But, Big O and Dukes in middays are up substantially in the overall age 12+ numbers - going from 22nd to 17th place. That's better than afternooner Mike O'Meara, who placed 21st, about even with his overall February numbers. The morning Junkies placed 16th, steady with February.

From Don's Twitter: "Maybe IF radio stations tried being spontaneous instead of telling us to the second when some lame guest was appearing, people would listen." I know that's not directed just towards the MOM show but it still made me laugh. I'd love to listen to fours of Don's commentary as he listens to the MOM show.

I thought it was pretty telling that a caller asked Mike a month ago about Don and Mike said they had talked last November. I wonder if Mike was bitter that Don bailed on the show or if there's more to it than that - other than Mike apparently being a big douche.

I think that if Don comes out of retirement it will be to do something new and not to save the O'Meara Show.

Yeah, it's hard to be funny for 4 hours a day. That's why the times you're not being funny you still have to be interesting. Mike and Co. fail at both.

Has anyone ever seen the ruins of Patterson's Bridge near Clifton? It's mostly just a few supports sticking up out of the water but it could play a part in the history, especially since it was the site of that infamous Civil War skirmish in which Gen. Patterson's mean were rumored to have fought the North while dressed in bunny suits.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the old bridge (part of it has fallen down) about a mile or two from Tanyard Rd. It's near where the old institute used to be and it had it's own colorful history.

The biggest problem for me with the show is that Mike and Co. are horrible when it comes to just talking about themselves. I listened to the opening of the show yesterday and Mike came on and hinted at a story he had to tell about his weekend - something about a house full of dogs. When he finally got around to it after teasing it for about half an hour he mentioned his daughters were over for th

The pathetic thing about the Friday drinking shows is how badly Mike has to play up the fact that he's all "crazy and anything could happen" after just a few drinks, which should obviously not have that big an effect on him.

Given how the Mike O'Meara Show epitomizes the type of jive, cliched radio show that D&M used to lambast constantly, I would love to hear any conversations between Don and Mike after the new show debuted. I wonder if Don was just polite and blew smoke up Mike's ass about how great the show is or if he's given any honest criticism?
