I know. Which is why it was concerning for the officer to say in a very serious tone that there "had been a shooting at Flint Hill". He could have just said that they needed to shoot a wounded animal and that therefore they needed to keep the area clear as a safety measure. It wasn't like I had kids in my car that were gonna cry because they killed Bambi. Instead I started worrying about all the

Wtf officer?? Why the hell would you call that a "shooting" and make people think their neighborhood is unsafe. Vienna's finest. Do you know what type of animal it was? Deer hit by a car?

I was gonna go run on the track at Madison HS but there was a cop standing there saying that it was closed. I asked why and he explained that their had been a shooting at Flint Hill Elementary which is located just behind Madison. He wouldn't tell me anything else. Obviously school is not in session so I assume it occurred outside the school. Not sure if there were any deaths or arrests or who

The Tequila Grande in Vienna on Maple Ave (Rt 123) and Nutley Street used to be some other restaurant. I remember driving by it all the time as a kid. I don't think we ever ate there but I vividly remember that they had flame stickers on all of the windows. Anyone know what it was or have any pictures?

That is not Maple Avenue, but Church street in Vienna. The church that you can see is still there and has expanded into a huge church known as Vienna Presbyterian Church. You can also see part of the Freeman Store on the far right

Anyone else seeing this shit? About a week ago, for at least a full straight week the Lumen tower in Tysons was lit up from top to bottom with green white and red every night. I was trying to figure out what the color scheme was all about. Then as soon as the news broke about Iranians being behind the attack on the US embassy in Iraq, they changed the color scheme. Since then it has been just fla

Dave Chappelle revealed he is actually from Silver Spring in one of his more recent stand up specials. He jokes about how he always claimed to be from DC because saying your from a DC suburb like Silver Spring doesn't get you any respect around black people.

Do youtube celebrities count? The Sharer brothers: Stephen Sharer (7.49 million subscribers) and Carter Sharer (5.89 million subscribers) live in and film their videos at their parents house in Oakton. You probably have never heard of them because their audience is all kids 12 and under. There is also this Mormon guy named Luke Nichols that happened to I stumble upon a while ago with two channe

Braden Holtby (Caps star goalie) lives in Old Town. I remember reading some interview about how he loves living in that old shithole.

That house in the second pic. Imagine your whole backyard disappearing. I wonder if that house is still there. Someone ought to show the current owners this pic.

There are tons. I would say the majority of the long contract DC pro athletes are located in Fairfax. Alex Ovechkin lives right across from McLean Bible Church. Ryan Zimmerman, TJ Oshie, and Jayson Werth all live in Great Falls. Joe Beninati, the long time TV announcer for the Capitals (aka Joe B) has a townhouse in Tysons/Vienna. Based black brain surgeon and 2016 Republican presidential nomin

https://www.arlnow.com/2017/01/27/breaking-yorktown-high-teacher-charged-with-indecent-exposure/ I used to go to Tyson's Sport and Health and I remember seeing this guy there all the time. He was ALWAYS swimming laps. I remember thinking it was odd that a guy who swam so often could be so overweight. Turns out he was there for other reasons. The worst part is that the members there are so casu
