My favorite abandoned/nearly vacant office building is the tower next to Bob Evans in Springfield. It might be completely empty now, but up until a couple month ago there used be a barber shop on the 5th or 6th floor that always had an Open light on in the window. Seemed like it was the only tenant for a long time. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=spri

Speaking of GMU sculpture, anybody else thing that piece outside the patriot center is the most hideous work of art ever placed on public display? One positive about it, my family had no problem finding me a graduation when I told them to meet me at the "Ugly Statue."

you've never told us what kind of car you're running. If it's a muscle car, the +5 points might help you, but if it's a ricer, your screwed. Nah, only joking. Seriously, the fact that you never got above 55/60 isn't going to help you any. It's the burnout/acceleration that they consider "reckless." Sometimes they call it "Exhibition of acceleration." it sucks, but 'tis the law.

Wow. It appears FFXU has been over run by a flock of book-clubbing soccer moms. Didn't know anybody took their barber shop seriously enough to defend it against random internet flaming.

Alexandria Toyota is probably the least evil of the toyota dealerships in the area, as far as service departments go. I will not go back to Springfield Toyota, for reason. They won't change my oil without an appointment, and then even with an appointment, it still took over 2 hours. Lame.

I used to deliver pizza's in Hybla Valley, so I will agree that the trailer park is probably one of the worst places to live, but there are some others that should also be considered. Here's a list: Francisco Way Buckman Road, 7 Woods, Janna Lee (Driver's got robbed here all the time) Lockheed and Dart Greenleaf and Denifield Woodlawn Ct. Colony Ct. There's one other place that was straight u

all the above plus Jack Johnson. Any chick that says she likes Jack Johnson is basically telling me she has no taste in music. I might be able to see past it if she can cook, but it sure starts things off on the wrong foot.

As a long time lurker, I'll say, back in the day, it was usually pointless to read past the second page or Vincents first post, whichever came first. Unless, of course, the post was related to somebody killing themselves, then the flames wars between those that cared and those that didn't could be - and still are - quite entertaining.

There was the Ice Storm of 2008. People were stuck on the over passes of the mixing bowl for a few hours. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/621201/the_ice_storm_that_never_was_storms.html?cat=27

To the contrary, Mason cancelling evening classes saved me having to go out into that mess. And the Fed's 2 hour early release meant many of my Fed buddies were at home safely nestled into their couches by the time it ever started snowing. The Fed doesn't have many options when it comes to releasing workers, but I believe they are working on improving that.

I've noticed at least one tent in the woods near the on-ramp from Backlick to 7100, too. Been there for more then a month now, must be pretty cold. It's clearly visible from the road, so I guess it must be ok to squat on public land now.

I got a thin blue line sticker in the mail with my state registration a couple years back. Seems kind of useless. But I always laugh when I see people driving like that thin blue line makes them invisible to cops.
