Herndon/Oakhill schools?

My family is thinking about moving into the Herndon/Oakhill area. We currently live in South Reston. We have a little boy and I was wondering if anyone who have attended schools there could tell me which elementary, middle and/or high schools they had really good experiences with.

I looked up Floris Elem on greatschools.org, but it seems to have a number of bad reviews. Oak Hill and Fox Mill Elem seem to have overall better reviews.

Thanks in advance!

We recently moved from South Reston (Terraset Elementary) to Oak Hill. My son is now at Crossfield, and it is worlds away better than Terraset.

whatever you do stay away from schools that feed into herndon middle that place is a shit hole. most of the staff cares enough but the principal is worthless has not idea how to work with kids or people for that matter

i have to agree with herndonite. I went to Herndon Elementary, Herndon Middle, and transferred to Westfield for high school. Westfield's better than Herndon...and WHS sucks.

The folks we know with kids at Fox Mill and Floris and Oak Hill ESes say they are very good; Rachel Carson Middle is great; most of the high schools are pretty good.
