A case of my friend nolle prosequi. What does that mean?

me and my friend were charged wit the same crime because were on the same case but different court date .. ..he went to court and they said the case was nolle prosequi. What does that mean?and could i expect something like that could some one help me out wit this..thnx

means your case is basically on hold to see if they can come up with any evidence or any clues to convict you..you got about a year and a half till they take if off nolle process
