NYC Approves Ban on Large Drinks

Already got my work arounds...

1) Go to a restaurant with a self-serve soda fountain.

2) Order a diet drink, qualify for the largest cup. Fill largest cup with regular Coke.

2a) If 2 doesn't work, then order a regular Coke and fill it as many times as I wish.

2b) If 2b doesn't work, then order 3 regular Cokes.

You will not stop me, NYC.

Yup. I get that non-diet sodas cause diabetes and I get that it's a poor beverage choice. The public awareness on that is awesome.

You know what else has awesome public awareness? Cigarettes. And yet, consumers can STILL buy and smoke as many cigarettes as they want.

In summary, you're permitted to cancerize yourself in this country but you're not permitted to get diabetes. It's a good thing a portion of tobacco taxes don't go towards public healthcare...oh wait...

Not to mention the slippery slope this puts us on...what next, fun size candy bars only and I can only buy 1 bag per week? Christ...

I think I'll play it safe and stay out of NYC for a while. Wouldn't want Bloomberg stalking me. He's NOT my type.
