Ed McMahon Foreclosure
Posted by: WashingToneLocian ()

So it looks like Ed McMahon is going to lose his house over $644,000 in late payments because he broke his neck 18 months ago and hasn't been able to sell his house and hasn't been able to work....

http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/080606/people_ed_mcmahon.html?.v=1

Can anyone tell me where those "all around great guys" Jerry Lewis and Dick Clark are? I mean, McMahon has been involved with them for years. Both Lewis and Clark have to be multi-millionaires. You mean to tell me Clark can't even give McMahon a loan to get him out of trouble?

Good God the Hollywood types really are fake assholes, aren't they?

It was more of a rhetorical question. It's pretty typical. The ones who seem "nicest" are the biggest fucking frauds. Of course Jerry Lewis is pretty much a prick openly. But still...

Why should Jerry or Dick bail out a moron who got in over his head? Is no one accountable for their actions anymore?

Why was Big Ed borrowing so much against his home? perhaps keeping up with the Cruise's?

Oh it must be rough... both a Kidney shaped pool with a jacuzzi, and a tennis court in the backyard. Everyone else on the block only has a pool! To be fair - though, the other pools are bigger and Jerry is the only one with a tennis court. You must take the good with the bad.

Talk about buying the best house in the worst neighborhood!!!!

All I can tell you is property records indicate he owns the house. Maybe it is a 8000 square foot rental (with a pool and a tennis court). Maybe one of his slacker kids are living there.

His business address is
Jerry Lewis
Jerry Lewis Films, Inc.
2820 W. Charleston Blvd.
Sute D33
Las Vegas, NV 89102
Which according to google maps is 1.1 miles - 3 minutes away.

Here is a link to Jerry's house. Talk about a crappy area. It virtually backs up the MLK, JR Blvd. Don't know about you, but every MLK, Jr Blvd I have been on has been full of brothers. The good thing for Jerry, though, is it is really close to the medical center. He's probably there on a daily basis...

As for "Dick Clark," I don't think this address if for THE Dick Clark. Not unless Dick Clark is living in a 3 bdrm, 2 bath SFH across from what looks like a warehouse district...

I don't know Meeper, but those houses look pretty big and all of them have swimming pools!

Well Checking Zillow, I find Jerry's house to be 5 beds, 6.5 baths, 7,325 sq ft and the Zestimate®: $1,297,000. Near MLK Jr Blvd or Not.

As for Dick Clark, all public records lead me to believe he owns the place but I am not in NV so I cant tell you if that is where he "hangs" on a daily basis.

Living in NV allows some of these people to avoid the taxes associated with living in California.

Interesting, I know that Game show winners in CA have to pay CA state tax on their winnings, no matter where they live. This was a problem for some because some winners on Who Wants TO Be A Millionaire were paying state taxes to New York (because that is where it is/was filmed) until someone figured out that NY has no simillar rule.

I dont know if game show hosts have to pay CA taxes on money earned in CA if they live somewhere else. If you are interested write to this man and ask him.

I don't doubt their are nice houses there. I am familiar with that stretch of Charleston, it's just not an area I'd expect a big famous celeb to live around. It's sorta like finding out that Jerry Lewis lived off of Little River Turnpike right next to the Beltway. Not that there's anything wrong with it, I'd just figure someone like that would live in a more affluent part of the area. Maybe Jerry likes to live within walking distance of McDonald's.

Well maybe Las Vegas is a winter hang out or rental property for Dick - he is in alot of businesses.

He probably lives at this address ost of the time. I know I would if I had the choice.

Dick Clark 27700 PACIFIC COAST HWY MALIBU CA 90265

http://www.google.com/lochp?hl=en&tab=wl&q=27700%20PACIFIC%20COAST%20HWY+MALIBU+CA+90265

Dangerously close to the "two and a half men" house.

No way in Hell Dick Clark spends any time in that house. It is a common SFH next to the airport.

Especially not as a winter home. Vegas sucks in the winter, unless you like getting blasted with dusty, cold wind.

It appears he owns the house in Vegas. Who knows? Remember when Richard Nixon needed to move to New York City to be near his wife's cancer doctor, he was turned down by several coop boards and ended up living in Saddle River, NJ.

The house in Malibu is also his. But I guess we came to a consensus on which house he probably spends the most time in.

Who knows what his motivation is. Maybe it is because of what is "next to the airport" - strip clubs... Again who knows? It could be a rental, slacker kids house, a place for him to hang durring layovers. A secret place so he and Ryan can get comfortable... Who knows....

Paul McCartney still owns a nice house in London he bought durring the Sgt Pepper period. He stays there when he is at Abbey Road Studios, since it is just down the street. The house is simillar to what we would call a duplex - there are three or four houses in the cluster. The only thing that sets it apart from the others are the obvious security cameras surrounding the house and its gated alley.

It could be another Richard W Clark who was born about the same time as the real one and is/was married to a woman with a very simillar name to the real Dick Claks's wife. If this is true, I apologize.

In the meantime, please be confidant that at least part of the time he is at 27700 PACIFIC COAST HWY MALIBU CA 90265.

FWIW, that's not the Vegas airport. I'm not sure what flies into there, but it's not where passenger planes go. McCarran Int'l is south of the strip. I also don't know of any strip clubs in north LV, but I'm sure if there are, they are pretty scary.

A friend sent me a link to this repugnant POC,so I thought I'd respond. Since you folks have been expressing opinions, most of them derogatory, I shall express mine. You all seem to be overly interested in another person's problems and seem to take delight in disparaging everything and everybody. Most of you appear to be rather pathetic individuals. Do you think maybe you need to get a life? lol

I just previewed my message and noticed that the date/time stamp is
12/31/1969 07:00PM. Perhaps it will be corrected upon posting.

STFU!!!!This is an open forum, if you don't like it, get the fuck out and don't come back! As far as the date stamp, I've never experienced that problem, so I'm sure it's something on your end. You probably recorded and marked that date as the last time you ever got some!

I don't know what STFU means.

You are correct -- this is an open forum -- but if I don't like it, I don't have to get out. I can express my opinion, just as others have done. Thank you for proving my point. You're certainly a class act. Your mother would be proud, I'm sure. ;-)

The date/time stamp only appears incorrectly upon preview of the post, but is correct upon posting. Perhaps you never preview your post, or you have simply never noticed the error.

Cheers!

derogatory? On this forum, never.

Ed McMahon is a decorated WWII vet, has had a successful career and worked into his 70s and is a member of the Greatest generation. He has a defined benefit pension plan ( a couple probably) a was for a long time dedicated to republican party.

So now, this heroe is facing foreclosure. It is a shame. But all of us other Great Americans know that he needs to pull himself up by his bootstraps. Re-train, get a new career - maybe computers. We cant rely on anybody but ourselves and our family in our golden years. He needs a medical savings account and catastrophic insurance ($50,000 deductible per year per spouse). He needs to support drilling in Anwar, support the war, and be pro life and tax cuts. He should do what Rush Limbaugh will do at 65 - donate his social security checks to charity.

The scary thing if it can happen to Ed McMahon, it can happen to any of us.
