So, Saturday night around 11:30 PM I was on my way home from Wolf Trap and I remembered the kids wanted waffles for Sunday breakfast. So I stop at the Safeway in the Ravenswood shopping plaza and go in to by the Eggos. While in the check out lane an attractive blonde chick, about 26 I guess, 5'4' weighing about 105, wearing a sensible summer dress that accented her legs, comes to the check out lane with only one item item in her hand, a large package of Trojans. As I am picking up my bag to leave, they ask her if she has a Safeway card, and she says in a pleasant southern accent, "no, I am not from around here." OK. I am trying to figure out the scenario and why the blonde chick was buying something her man should have been buying. I mean, was he too drunk to go in and buy the stuff himself? Are women from the Carolinas that nice that they say, "OK Honey, I will go out at almost midnight and get it for you so you can get it from me." I don't think she was a pro, but we learned that they travel for certain clients. Have the times changed and it is now the chick's responsibility for getting this stuff?
