Did you know Backlick Road Service & Gas Station was featured on an episode of UNSOLVED MYSTERIES back in the day?
Unfortunately I do not remember which episode it was.
Most of the old episodes of Unsolved Mysteries are up on YouTube.
Does anyone remember this episode?
Can you post a YouTube link to the episode below?

Thanks.

The owner Bill is very honest and they do great work. I have taken cars there for years, just wish they did tire mount & balance. Also, the owner was on the local news a few months ago for saving some neighbors in an adjacent house fire.

The episode I speak of was probably 16-18 years ago.
I do not remember all of the details but I think some undercover cops were following someone who stopped there to buy some gas.
If you could ask Bill about this next time you are there I would appreciate it.
Thanks.

Although they don't mention it by name there was a feature on a murder of a West Virginian man named Larry George, pretty weird story. They said he was dropped off at service station outside the beltway which may or may not be the gas station you are thinking about. Try looking up Larry George unsolved mysteries on youtube

I will check but I do not think that is the one. From what I remember it was a story from another part of the country that somehow ended up in this area.
This is why I was shocked to see the gas station on Unsolved Mysteries because it just came from out of nowhere.
All of a sudden the gas station down the street from where I live is on my television with Robert Stack's voice in the background.
