You're willing to use high schoolers as a source?

You won't bring me one website that says anthropomorphism doesn't apply to non-animals, i.e. objects ideas etc

You are a moron; I was saying you need to finish high school and maybe sign up for some English 101/composition classes (if you ever make it to college), so that you can solidify these concepts into your pea sized brain.

Obviously, I posted wikipedia already.

http://literary-devices.com/

says

Anthropomorphism can be understood to be the act of lending a human quality, emotion or ambition to a non-human object or being. This act of lending a human element to a non-human subject is often employed in order to endear the latter to the readers or audience and increase the level of relativity between the two while also lending character to the subject.
Example:
The raging storm brought with it howling winds and fierce lightning as the residents of the village looked up at the angry skies in alarm.

http://www.encyclopedia.com/topic/anthropomorphism.aspx

Anthropomorphism can refer to the representation of the gods in human form or, more generally, to the attribution of human characteristics to animals or to inanimate objects. In both cases it can be seen as a statement of human superiority

http://www.tnellen.com/cybereng/lit_terms/anthropomorphism.html

Anthropomorphism is used with God or gods. The act of attributing human forms or qualities to an entities which are not human. Specifically, anthropomorphism is the describing of gods or goddesses in human forms and possessing human characteristics such as jealousy, hatred, or love.

These are basic elementary concepts you should have learned in high school. Since you have no grasp or concept of them, it makes me think you are in either middle school or dropped out of school in the ninth grade! :(

Ad hominem does not prove your point. Saying, "you're stupid, you're stupid, you're stupid" doesn't make me wrong.

I wouldn't want to be in your shoes then. Let's say I am in middle school, wouldn't you feel embarrassed that a middle schooler proved you were wrong and you just sit there, fingers in ears yelling, "ur dumb ur dumb ur dumb i trolz u"

ANTHROPOMORPHISM: A literary technique in which the author gives human characteristics to non-human objects, e.g. the speaking animals in the Chronicles of Narnia (C. S. Lewis), the Wind in the Willows (Kenneth Grahame), or the stories of Beatrix Potter.

From the AP (that's a high school class taught at a college level) literary glossary?

The definition is vague and does not entirely agree with you. It says objects, not exclusively animals.

And I read Animal Farm in 5th. I had to do a book report on it and a synopsis presentation in front of the class. I did it using sock puppets and got a good grade.

But that neither proves your point or mine.

Anthropomorphism involves the attribution of human characteristics to animals.
Personification involves the attribution of a personal nature or character to inanimate objects, abstract notions, concepts, and ideas.

No.

Personification is the rendering in absolute human terms of an abstract idea (i.e. Father Christmas, Death, Britannia, and so on).

Anthropomorphism is the application of human traits on otherwise non-human (but not abstract) beings (i.e. Winnie the Pooh, Peter Rabbit, and so on).

but but, you linked to.. a definition that says.. explicitly says,,.

the attribution of human form or behaviour to a deity, animal, etc.

the assignment of human shape and attributes to gods, animals, etc. —

and then

if you look at any list of "deities" or "gods"

(yes i know wikipedia again)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egyptian_pantheon#List_of_deities_of_Ancient_Egypt

you see many gods that are gods of non-tangible ideas

including death, fertility, justice, war, etc

so according to you.

The sun god is an anthropomorphism but the war god is a personification?

also, i disagree with your definitions.

personification is giving something human traits, personalities, or characteristics

like

the wind blew angrily

whereas

anthropomorphism is giving something a human like shape

ie any of the deities

JenK is right on: "do you plan on starting back up again on people again or can you behave?"

I assume you're referring to Susan Mitchell Petty, the anxiety-filled, drug abusing, stalking and slandering Nurse at Inova who thinks nothing of sneaking into other people's homes when it suits her purpose? (She was trying to collect information about her ex-husband, who she cheated on - with multiple people - and "dumped" in the parking lot of a Marriage Counselor who they never saw, and who she never intended to actually seek help from.)

Or do you mean Doug Murtland, the womanizer who leaves dogs in hot cars, has trouble paying enough of his tickets and fines to keep a Driver's License, and who misses his child so much that he posts her name here, in troll threads?

Or do you mean Sharon Pettigrew, the News Editor at WAMU who doesn't understand what Tort means, and drops just enough credible information to further unsettle people that she calls crazy?

Or perhaps Brian Haddock, the security guy for Magellan Health Services who thinks little of jeopardizing the careers of his colleagues and family, doesn't care about HIPPA, is the source of stray neighborhood bullets, appears to enjoy acts of animal cruelty, and has a history with cantaloupes?

Susan seems to have a LOT of knowledge about the issue, and is free with the information. I've talked to several sources with whom she's recently shared her "insights". Please feel free to ask her directly: snoozenp@aol.com

Or give her a ring at (609) 556-2475... she really enjoys talking to and about people. Again, she's likely to be the best source for the information you seek, especially since veracity seems to be of little importance.

If nothing else, Susan is full of interesting stories about a LOT of people. There's more than a bit of reason to believe that she might be a pathological liar, and since she continued digging holes after this whole thing settled down, I'm truly anxious to see what she comes up with next.

According to Susan, it's all some sort of drug-induced psychosis, and since I'm apparently not even aware of my own drug use, how can I possibly know what's going to happen next?

Really, I'm trying not to set any expectations :-)

Never, in a million years would I call apple cider "apple beer" and treat it as such. What a fucking snob.
