The Sweet Tea Report !
Posted by: RichmondRebel ()

This is RichmondRebel reporting where you can get sweet tea in Richmond area restaurants.

As many of us know, the North has moved South! Now with air travel Richmond is at New York's Doorstep, our house number is "Mid Atlantic", and the enclaves of Northern Virginia aren't far behind!

Lets see.. I think there's HOPE! We don't have to turn in our Southern Membership cards yet!

Sweet Tea Report:

You can get sweet tea in the following places:

Strawberry Sreet Cafe (The Fan), Davis and Main (The Fan), McCallister's Deli (Hugenot Rd), The Cheesecake Factory (Short Pump)- Now this is somethin! You can get sweet tea in Short Pump, which is a little version of Fairfax County- . I think thats a good sign, folks! Also, Baker's Crust in Carytown and Short Pump respectively serves sweet tea.

And you can get sweet tea at Kroger's and Ukrop's supermarkets in Richmond

So far, I have to rate Richmond a C+ on the Southern Report Card

Spread the word!

Hey Meade, if you switched to unsweetened tea perhaps you'd lose some weight.

Actually, sweet tea has a lot less calories in it than the average soft drink!

Um, I'm sure if I brought this up at my office, no one would know what the heck I was talkin' about....

Is there actually a difference between iced tea and sweet tea? When I say "iced tea", I mean real tea where you put the sugar in after it is brewed, not snapple or that powdered nestea crap. It sounds like "sweet tea" is exactly the same thing except the sugar is added before it is brewed. Can there really be a difference in flavor??

In any case, neither can compare to a nice cold Thai iced tea from Busara.

I wasn't comparing sweet tea to soda, I was comparing it to unsweetened tea. But if you really want to make the comparison... let's see.

Southern Brew Extra Sweet Tea: 90 calories per cup
Coca-Cola Classic: 97 calories per cup

Yeah, sweet tea really has a lot less calories.

Reminds me of the fat lady who eats five times as much lite calorie meals and tells people she's eating healthy now.

Sweat Tea healthy? Where the hell did you hear that?

SWEET TEA=SUGAR AND CAFFINE=SODA! You might as well be drinking a coffee candy bar.

In case you haven't noticed restaurants are famous for dumping all sorts of sugar, butter, salt and more into their dishes and beverages. If it made the food taste better and was legal they would probably put rat poison in the dishes.

I'm surprised you didn't refer to yourself in the third person as you are prone to do. Maybe the psychosis is getting better.

Silly Yank. Sweet tea has been brewed with the sugar in it and then its cooled down and loaded with ice.

You should totally ripoff reviewbrah and make a channel on YouTube devoted ENTIRELY to reviewing sweet tea at various locations in your goofy clothes. You can accept requests from patreon subscribers on places with sweet tea to review. Best way to get diabetes ever.
