All inferior to I-talian food.

I've just never been a fan of grossly overrated gaysian food.

Raw fish heads and rice just doesn't do it for me...

I'm Italian myself but yet I do get tired of Italian dishes fairly easily. I seriously would prefer Thai and French food.

Ooooh...someone knows good food and knows it well. [I'm impressed with the Viet dishes - about no one knows the names except pho).

Italian food wasn't being compared.

Neither was Swedish.

Nor Cuban.

Thai wins for me. I'm not a big fan of pad thai, but love getting dishes thai hot. Not 3 peppers, but 7. When it is so hot it hurts. Japanese is probably next. But I do love dim sum and pho...

It's all good, and we are very lucky in FFU world with the variety. I am partial to Thai food and like Vietnamese pho on a cold winter day. Korean food is pretty good, but not made for carry-out or those unfamiliar with it, at least in these parts. The Burmese restaurant Myanmar in Falls Church is excellent and a real gem. However, I do wish we had a Malaysian/Singaporean restaurant 'round here.

We're having crepes tonight (which is banh xeo if the phonetic matches up) - spring onion, bean sprouts, shrimp, possibly even chick peas all cooked into/wrapped with the rice flour batter, then covered with veggies like raw shredded cucmber, mint, some wierd veggie similar to lettuce but a lot darker - and the special sauce made with fish sauce, hot peppers, vinegar, sugar, etc.

Yum.

She (wife) says that's "sesame leaf" - cool flavor. Also had lettuce and basil in addiiton to the mint.

Double yum.

Bánh bèo

My wife and daughter love that stuff - I'm sorta "meh" w.r.t., though.
