I like ours, but I'm not sure it does that much better than lower priced models available today. Once concern. Many Dyson parts are proprietary, so if something breaks it may cost more to replace them.

From what I understand, even repair shops have a hard time getting parts from Dyson.
On the good side though......I've got two and one is used every day in a business. Six years and never a glitch.

That picture can't possibly be me you idiot. My feet are much smaller and that person isn't carrying a Dyson.

Dysons were cool when you had to order them from a shop in the UK and wait a month for it to be shipped to you and pay your own import duty. Now that you can buy them at WalMart and EVERYWHERE else they've cheapened the product.

never realized until NOW what 'duty-free' even meant, tho
Best way to buy expensive vacuums is from divorce-related sales. I landed a Kirby Ultimate G vacuum with ALL the attachments that way. $300. A far better vacuum than the Dyson, BTW.
The best place to buy a Dyson is from the Kirby dealers. They have a buy back program when they sell you your new Kirby. If you walk into one of their "War Rooms", they have a handfull of old vacuums waiting to be picked up from the resident Gypsies. I got my Dyson Animal 6 years ago for 50.00. Still running strong.
