For once, the Flu did a good thing.

It reduced speaking over people, bad jokes, kissing Mike's ass, fucking up the board, Robin Quiver's like laughing, fat shaming by a fat fuck, etc...

[Dateline Jacksonville, 7/2/2015]

Just a few years ago, watermelon-smashing comedian Gallagher was on death’s doorstep, in a medically induced coma following yet another heart attack.

But it takes more than that to keep Gallagher down. He’s back on the road with a new three-comic show and feeling better than he has in years. He can even see better, following surgery last week to remove cataracts from one eye.

“I was going to lose my ability to drive rental cars. I had 20?/40 (vision) and 20?/50 is where they cut you off. The whole country is now safer now that I finally got my right eye done,” he said in a phone interview the day after the surgery. “I was so busy I just didn’t pay attention that I really couldn’t see out of one eye. But that just shows you focus.”

Gallagher (that’s his last name, by the way; his first name is Leo) rose to fame in the ’70s and ’80s. He had been musician Jim Stafford’s road manager for five years before breaking out on his own. His signature routine, in which he smashes watermelons and other objects with an oversized mallet, made him a household name and led to 14 Showtime specials and, by his estimation, more than 4,000 shows.

These days he’s taking it a little easier, spending much of his time writing songs and comedy routines. He’s doing a few shows - including three next week at the Comedy Club of Jacksonville - where he’s trying out something new.

“I’m working on something no one has ever done before,” he said. “Three comics are joining together to be like a group. Instead of hiding behind the curtain, we’re all three out there at once, like the Marx Brothers.”

The three comics - Gallagher, Artie Fletcher and Bob Nelson - will all be onstage at the same time. For some of the show, they’ll interact with one another and with the crowd. For other parts, one comic will take the spotlight while the other two sit back and watch.

Gallagher said the format has its ups and downs.

“I’m only really upset about one thing and that’s interruptions to my flow when I’m doing my show, and now I’ve got two of them. Is that the worst?”

But Fletcher and Nelson are “seasoned veterans,” so Gallagher said he’s not too worried about them. The first time they tried the three-comic routine, last month in Pinellas Park, it went well, he said.

“They can ad-lib, they can play the moment, they can add, too,” he said. “It’s like having three bats at the plate; one of us is going to hit the ball.”

Some of the show is planned out, but about a quarter of it is ad-libbed. That means that, if you come to the show two nights in a row, you’re going to get two different experiences.

“We might be inventing something here,” he said. “I know what it could be: synchronized comedy, like those swimming girls. We’ll find the funny, I’m sure, and we’ll have fun in a new way.”

Gallagher is an Ohio native, but his family moved to the Tampa area when he was 8 because of his breathing problems. His father ran a roller-skating rink in Tampa, and Gallagher was a champion skater (although he fell flat on his butt when he tried to skate last year). The discipline required to become a top-notch skater helped him when he first took the stage, he said.

“I think comedy is quite easy, compared to doing a freestyle routine,” he said. “I learned from roller skating to be prepared, because it’s all about practicing. Here’s the secret: You keep what works and you get rid of what doesn’t.”

The other secret to comedy, he said, is to never let up, something that should be easier with three comics on stage.

"Artie has opened for everybody, any kind of an audience, and Bob is an excellent physical comedian who adds another dimension,” Gallagher said. “Laughs can be done in two or three seconds, but if you have a guy there who can add another one, we can keep ’em laughing the whole time. That’s the object, to get ’em on the ground and kick ’em. You have to get them rolling. Most comedians can’t get them rolling because they tell these long doggone stories with one laugh at the end, then they lean on the mike stand. With us, there’s no leaning and no sitting; we’re always popping.”

Say twat?

I like this thread very much. Some time ago, we collectively decided to make this thread a Gallagher thread, no? I seconded the point myself several pages back under the sobriquet "Quorum" (http://www.fairfaxunderground.com/forum/read/40/89342/2782542.html#msg-2782542).

So this is the natural 'Evolution Revolution' (sorry, Lancelot Link) of this place to it's new format. Like WJFK to sports. Lead, follow, or get out of the way.

Because Riggo mocks fatties who think Miller Lite is beer?

Because Riggo gets that it's not the BRAND or the "ABV" that messes with you?

Because Riggo played for the Jets and Brain Damage claims to be a Giants fan?

Because Riggo successfully pulled off the "drinking for an interview" bit?

Because after Riggo was unemployed people wanted him back?

Because Riggo has had three successful careers?

Because Fattt Robbb Spivack is in charge of booking guests? Riggo lives in Cabin John.

With apologies to everyone who's tired of the Gallagher Guy and armpits:

I think this is the place Peekza told the forum we could post our stories?

-------------------------

This is a story of the early sixties when I was a young boy in London. I was just out of my teens, painfully shy and ordinary looking. The one thing that literally stood out was my exceptionally massive penis. I am small built just over five feet six inches tall but no underwear is big enough to hide my huge cock. The one time that I managed to entangle with the opposite sex was when I went to Brighton on a hot summer day with my family.

While the rest of my family went swimming I wandered off to a secluded part of the beach and stripped to my swimming trunks. I adjusted my massive penis and since nobody seemed around I swam a bit before returning to the beach only to find their were two women with their two piece bikinis lying on the beach. They looked ravishingly beautiful, both brunettes in their thirties. As my clothes were next to where they were lying , I tiptoed gently attempting to pick up my clothes and rush away without disturbing them.

As I reached them, I stole a glance to the one closer to me. She had her eyes closed and her arms were tucked underneath her head. Her armpits were filled with thick tufty black hair. Her breasts were hard and big and she had taken off her bikini top and her nipples seemed surprisingly hard. I must admit I loved hairy women and seeing this fecund hirsute woman with tufty black hair in her bushy armpits made my limp cock erect. It was ready to burst out and my massive cock seemed to be trying to come out of my wet trunks. As I fearfully looked at her pussy covered by her bikini, I could see thick black hair peeping from the top and even some wild undergrowth from the sides. She was a hairy goddess.

I don't know if I grunted but some kind of sound escaped my throat as the hirsute beauty opened her eyes and looked at me. My raging hard on must have been so obvious that she gasped as her hand flew to her mouth. Her raised hand displayed even more, the thick tufty black hair of her armpits creating more disturbance in my swimming trunks. I could feel the precum oozing out of my erect penis as I turned away in embarassment.

The brunette turned to the other woman and shook her and pointed to my manhood and now it was the other one's turn to stare at my massive cock. She too, surprisingly had very bushy armpits dark as coal. The first brunette got up and walked towards me and touched my penis though the material and looked amazed at the size of my extended penis.

Without as much as blink, she removed my trunks and my huge cock burst out. I cringed in embarassment, though they were at a loss as to why my cock was so hard not knowing my fetish for thick underarm hair.

"Wow Suzie, his cock must be at least 12 inches long and so thick" the hirsute brunette purred. The other woman exclaimed "Yes Silvia what will happen if he gets turned on". Little did they know that my cock was bursting looking at the wild bushy armpits of these hairy women.

Silvia, then bent down and without even a word started jerking my painfully hard cock. I seemed transported into heaven. Here I was a shy boy who had never seen a fully naked woman being shagged off by sexy hairy woman. Pushing my luck I put my hand into her shaggy armpits and pulled at the soft thick hair. It seemed hot and silky and I felt a pleasure I never felt before. I had masturbated for years thinking about the unshaven armpits of the Italian film stars of the day including the young Sophia Loren in Scandal at Sorrento and Silvana Mangano in the hit movie Bitter Rice which I had seen at Leicester Square but feeling her thick sweaty hair of her armpits which were glistening in the sun was just unbelievable.

Just when I felt I was going to cum, the other woman, with equally bushy armpits moved forward and amazingly took my cock into her mouth. Was I dreaming as she licked my hard on and then took my long dick in her mouth. As she sucked my penis, Silvia played with my balls. Suzie took more of my cock into her mouth and I was struggling from stopping erupting into her mouth. Her saliva or was it my precum made my cock all wet as my hands still in the jungle of Silvia's bushy armpits looked for support to stop me from swooning.

Here I was a young man with no sexual experience being given a blowjob by two hirsute strangers. There was no way I could hold back as now Silvia freed herself from my grasping hands and jerked my cock from Suzie's mouth and put into her lovely mouth and took almost half of my foot long penis. Without pausing my eyes closed torrents of my cum filled the mouth of Silvia.

I was flush with excitement and though I had cum Silvia kept her mouth and nursed my dick to another erection. Even when I had jerked off, I was never able to coax myself to a second erection and here I was within seconds ready for a second round.

Gasoline

Did I miss anything?

Oh come on. Iguanaria isn't an attempt to disguise the real place. It was a Blobb or Oscar-ism that they thought was funnier than the actual name.

He doesn't "Get It" and nor is he "In The Know"...

And he's right. The show is so formulaic that there isn't even any room for improvement.

Think about it, what would they do differently. No one has any new ideas.

And I've noticed how much time they waste bitching about tech issues, but I like it because Mike is always one step away from a stroke...

Yes! More Full Mike! Best part of the show, apart from Spewak-bashing.

Shows that were better than TMOS: Don & Mike, G. Gordon Liddy, The Hideout, Big O & Dukes, Opie and Anthony, Ron & Fez, Joe Ardinger, Larry King, Art Bell, Bruce Williams, Bob Brinker, Fred Allen.....

I too am hoping for an on-air stroke. It should be great on the best-sounding podcast on the radio.

Just unsubscribed today. I am a long time listener but Mike's disregard for anyone with a differing view than his is untenable. Fight your war on guns Mike, but do it without me. By the way, very difficult to unsubscribe with the iOS 11 app. GO to Library tab and hit the ... button to get to the unsubscribe menu.

In light of the following, perhaps SDM can raise money and gifts for Gallagher? Since he’s been excommunicated from TMOS...

$$$$$$$

Leo Gallagher, the watermelon-smashing comedian who suffered a heart attack last March, revealed on a local Ohio radio show last week that he has lost most of his money, is living out of hotels and has had his drivers license suspended, among other hardships.

The 65-year-old comedian co-hosted the show, “Over Breakfast with Scott Spears & Company” on WDCM radio last week, as Laughspin reported. In a video clip posted today, he reveals to Spears the sad conditions of his post-heart attack life:
“Not only do I have no place to live — I have a credit card and I can stay in hotels — but I can’t drive, [...] California suspended my license,” Gallagher said.

In the interview above, the iconic comedian goes on to explain how he lost it all “betting on America,” first investing in a pharmaceutical company called Immtechthat claimed to have a revolutionary new AIDS medication which led to his losing over half-a-million dollars. Then, in an attempt to recuperate his loss, he became even more aggressive with his bets, losing again and again, until “it was all gone.”

When Spears asked how it feels to lose a fortune, Gallagher explained that it’s ultimately what led to his heart attack:
“It’s shocking. You’re numb. You wander around and you don’t want to tell your family. And you just figure, ‘Oh well, I don’t get to retire now, I’ll have to keep working,’ and so I did that until I finally had a heart attack. And that’s where I’m at now.”

Despite his losses — Gallagher was worth $3 million after taxes at the height of his wealth in the 1980s — Gallagher is still counting on an investment to reclaim his money.

“I’ve got a patent on the new software for slot machines and I think I could be rich all over, all over again,” he said.
Gallagher has given most of his leftover assets to his children for fear that they would be left to deal with legal problems after his death. At one point, Spears reminds him that he’s not dead yet, to which he flatly replies, “I died in March.”

“I thought I was done,” Gallagher said. “It’s hard to get involved in life again; it’s almost like losing all your money.”
When asked if he still likes smashing watermelons to this day, Gallagher offered another melancholy response, saying he “doesn’t care” and that he lets others do it, “because they need memories.” He does, however, remember his entire Sledge-O-Matic bit from his early routine, reciting almost the entire tongue-twisting monologue at the end of the video above.
It’s hard not to feel bad for the comedian as he describes his day-to-day routine of sleeping in a Super 8 motel, walking to a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant and picking up discarded objects along the road. At one point he frames his hardships in an almost poetic manner, reflecting his disappointment with the American dream:

“I see things on the side of the road, which, of course, I’d never see if I just drove by. And I pick up these things, because, to me, it tells me about the society, and I find parts of cars and they’re important parts—and I wonder how the car is driving without that part now. It just seems odd to me. We’re known by the things we leave behind. It’s kind of like I’m an archeologist of the society now, instead of digging deep in the dirt. You don’t find shards of pots in America these days, but you do find car parts.”

Six beer bottles in front of Mike, if you count Miller Lite. The one possibly tasty craft beer looking bottle is unopened.
Also, those must be vegan wings. Fat dolt.

Good thing margaritas are vegan.

That's the belly of an alcoholic.

Imagine the howling and bitching if Mike had seen another parent let their child dick around a motorcycle shop and nearly get crushed due to their supreme attention to details like NOT letting their kid dick around a motorcycle shop...

Here are the problems I had with today's motorcycle story:

Brain Damage concealed the identity of someone he named last week who said "you lose your skills" if you don't ride. Remembering something he said last week may be asking too much. I haven't ridden motor in 30 years but I still have my skills.

Selling to a dealer says you NEED CASH NOW. If I needed to sell a "scoot" I know people in the "scoot" community. Buying and selling motorcycles is not rocket science. Brain Damage has no social skills.

It's interesting to see Brain Damage stripping himself of his identity. He used to identify himself as "a biker" now that's gone, and on today's show he admitted that he's no longer on radio. And just between you and me his wife looks like a cum guzziling road whore.

If a 4 year old can topple a bike by fucking with the kickstand there's a problem. There's certainly a problem with the story.

As usual, fuck Mike.

Losing ones identity=Married

Maybe he needs money for his impending divorce from the Manassas Sea Hag. Or they are moving out of Floriduh. I could see her demanding that after the hurricane fiasco and the shooting.
Either way, behind every man's irrational decision ...is a woman...

Melissa Booker; Friday's show was #1948. We are only 52 shows from 2000 shows! If my math is correct, #2000 will be in late April. This is an amazing accomplishment and a big deal.

-As we approach 900 and 1000 pages....go for it Blob and SDM. More bad comics, hairy pits, etc. We will win.

Shit we brought down SDM and proved Carla is FAT!

Fat Mike sells his bike.....

He and his wife let a kid play by a bike and almost die....

Good thing it is over?

And, a car too? How will they all drink and drive?
