What makes Mike more lazy than Robb is that he records his part of the podcast from the spare bedroom. Robb drives into DC, not because he is less lazy. He's just really stupid. If Robb grew some balls and told Mike he was going to do his part from "the basement," what would Mike really do about it besides throwing a tantrum for a couple of days?

I have decided that the single most telling thing about the guys is their opinion of Westworld.
Put aside that it is generally considered one of the most complex and interesting shows on TV.
But their reasons for disliking it?
Not enough boobs and the killing is of robots and not people.
Not that they dislike the mythology, not that they might find some performances unconvincing, not that they just don't like the combination of Sci-Fi and Western.
Not enough Boobs, and not enough human blood.
Put aside that it is generally considered one of the most complex and interesting shows on TV.

Let me guess. Mike loved the opening to SNL. This, despite the fact that A) it wasn't funny (it's still a comedy show, right?), B) they treated the loss of Hillary Clinton like it was another 9/11, and C) it represented the tone-deaf East Coast elitism that contributed to Trump's rise in the first place.

I seem to remember, around the time it was made known that Mike would be moving and doing the show from Florida, it was also stated that Robb would be doing the show from his place in Leesburg. But then, that just...kinda morphed into Robb driving in to DC every day to do the show.
I think Mike and Oscar figured, since Mike was phoning it in, there was no reason Robb couldn't as well...but Robb didn't like that. He likes having a place to go every day. It makes him feel like he has a real job, that his physical presence is important to the show.
In other words, no one asked him to drive in every day; no one really needs him to drive in every day, not really; he just chooses to do so...and what're Mike and Oscar going to say, don't do it?
I mean, the look on his face would be heartbreaking.
