Nah, blood clots, you go on blood thinner for a few months. Unless they are in a major artery, which can be really bad. But, most likely these are in the veins in what ever leg had the operation. I'd bet the swelling wasn't going down and he went to the hospital and they told him he did move enough and poof DVT.
